Will it have tik noise when I use it？

YES! I was hoping it was silent, but I can her a very quiet ticking/buzz. I have sensory sensitivity and it is unbearable. I can’t use it.

Is this loud enough for older hearing impaired?

The timer is loud but the person would have to stay close to it to hear it. It’s not loud enough that a person with impaired hearing could hear it from across a room or if they were in the next room.

The light randomly blinks a lot before the timer is done (or when not in use at all). Is this normal or do I have a defective unit?

My timer doesn't do that; maybe yours is defective and you can exchange it.

can you silent the alarm ... how?

I just slide my finger across the top of the clock and that silences the alarm when it rings.
