i used it to seal an intake on a v6 mustang, sealed great, no leaks. tried to remove a few months later to do some other work. could not remove the intake, like it was welded

Great adhesion and proper sealing.
Permatex Optimum Grey works well as a sealant for most chemicals and fluids when applied correctly. Make sure metal and other surfaces are clean before applying. I've used it for the last few years and have not had any issues using this product. It's also easy to remove making the job more time effective. I will definitely be buying again in the near future.

Worked as it was intended to work and have not had no issues with any leaking or brittleness. But it really comes down to how it is applied, nothing is magical but if you Prep & Apply it correctly it will take care of your needs
