There is not a clear piece with this case. You will have to buy a separate screen protector.

Does this case have a hole/cut-out for the Apple logo on the back?

I got the mint color and it does have a hole, like pictured, but it did not match up with the logo, which is lower on the back of the phone.

Is it hard to type on the phone with this case on?

No I don’t think it is hard at all i actually believe it’s easier.The case isn’t over whelming bulky at all and because the phone is so thin to start with it give you a little more to hold on to.
