Going to 'roll your own?' Then you have better have one.... maybe two of these. Once you start making your own tenons out of scrap, you will be amazed at the VARIETY you can come up with. You'll need a table saw, and a router table and tenon cutters, and the sizer.... listed here. ALL TENONS have one thing in common - they swell. They are made from wood... all kinds of wood. People have put them in microwaves, ovens, homemade kilns - you name it.... to keep the moisture out. But they do what wood does - swell & shrink. This SIZER reduces oversized tenons at the time of use, SO THEY CAN BE USED. Good for all tenons. BUY THIS TOOL.

So this is basically a precision tool steel “die” to hammer your dominos through to get them to be a consistent size. You can see from the measurements that it slightly decreases the size, more so on the rounded edges that have ribs. What I found works best is to use a smaller domino to punch the tenon through after you hammer it flush. The end results is all the dominos will be the perfect size that they don’t need to be hammered into the work piece. I work in a dry environment so the domino size may ultimately depend on how much moisture they have. But this tool appears to work and the machining is high quality.

Phenomenal. I always have trouble separating the boards for a table when dry-fitting with the Dominos. This takes just the right amount off where there is still light friction in the mortise hole, making it easier to take apart dry-fit boards. It only lightly shaves off a minuscule thickness of the side relief edges, allowing for perfect alignment in the mortise without any slop. I also have the DFM plate for metric dowels. I use the Mafell hand-held borer for 16mm dia. dowels. Only about 1 out of 10 dowels are sized accurately. The DFM metric dowel plate solved the sizing issue.

This die does a good job of sizing dominos. I would give it five stars if it came with a frame that supports it above the workbench and allows the dominos to fall through.

This is a well made, sturdy, accurate, and sharp tool. It shaves a small amount off of the Domino and brings them all to precisely the same size. This provides a snug and accurate fit that can be easily disassembled after dry fit for an excellent glue up. This is a good purchase.

When you need to test fit your project, slightly slimmed domino loose tenons helps the process as they can be hard to remove. This plate does the job quite well. I made a base for the plate and was very pleased on how much it assisted in the process. The plate itself is well machined. Highly recommend.

I was waffling on whether to get this or not because of the price as compared to the import knock off. Really glad I went with this one. Super high quality. Super sharp. Large legible marking. Definitely worth the money.

I like the ease of test fitting this affords, assembly of complex parts is aided.

This is a very well-executed trimmer for dominoes. It arrived very sharp and well packed and included brief instructions. Pounding a domino through the appropriately-sized slot trims a minute amount from the thickness and trims away the small ridges that are on the sides of dominoes. This was just enough to leave a snug fit in the mortises cut by an 8mm Festool Domino cutter. That made it easy to disassemble after dry-fitting. The trimmer is much faster than sanding or chiseling down the size of dominoes. The trimmer is very expensive for what it is. That said, it is beautifully made and works well.
