Life saver
I am not in the habit of leaving reviews, I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon and rarely say anything. I feel compelled to write one for this product. Every possible annoying expense has hit me in the past month, hasn't been a good year so far; rain/pour- I take a shower and shave on Wednesday, go down stairs and there is green water in my kitchen sink and dishwasher and the house smells like sewage. Not exactly sure what has happened, I check a couple of things, think about it for a while, recollect that my kitchen sink has been sluggish, and figure I'll leave it and maybe it was just some weird combination of rain (it's been raining for days) and everything else. Plus I just don't want to think about it. Come back later, it's all gone, I keep moving on. Later that day, while using the kitchen sink, it starts backing up. So I stop what I'm doing. I go upstairs, try out the bathroom sink and shower, and once again, the sink fills up. Great. Anyway, this slow drain, fill back up, slow drain continues for a day. Finally I give up hope and realize I'm going to have to do something, I try plunging to no avail, I try chemicals, no luck. I let it drain over night. Next day take the sink apart, check the p trap, it's clear. I go borrow a 25' hand snake. I feed it in, struggle with all the elbows between me and the clog, finally get there (18' approximately), fiddle with it, pull out some hair and gunk, but the end result is me pushing the clog to another elbow (I guess) where I can't get the snake to continue. Great. I tried snaking from the upstairs, no luck. Just making things worse, where as before it would drain slowly, now it doesn't drain at all, complete blockage. Also, during this mess, I broke the snake. So I get on amazon to buy a new snake for my friend and I start searching around. Not feeling real good about my chances of resolving this without a $200+ plumbing bill, then I see this beauty... Read the reviews, it was only $10, decided to try it. Awesome product. Despite being very nervous about the prospect of sewage water and chemicals firing out of every drain in my house, I put it in the kitchen sink downspout, and slowly turned it on. Ran back inside, weird noises, a little scary, but no geysers anywhere. Ran outside, cranked the hose all the way on, ran back in, still anxious about water and chemicals everywhere, still just noise, ran upstairs, sinks ok, showers ok, tub ok. Went back down, read the instructions again. Still just noise. I let it run for a while (5 minutes?) go outside, disconnect the hose at the spigot, then back in to see what's what. Pull it out of the drain. No water that I can feel in the pipe, good sign. Hook the pipes up, let the sink run for a couple of minutes and...no more clog! This thing is awesome. There is no way I was going to get at this clog with a snake and chemicals (lots of chemicals!) were not working. The instructions say not to use with chemicals, which I'm sure is for safety and probably for the good of the attachment, but I went ahead anyway and just made sure the dogs were outside and my face didn't get anywhere close to where blow-back might happen. Anyway, for any clogs in the future, after plunging, this god send will be my next option. Even if I had to buy a new one for every job, I'd do it, it's not much more expensive than chemicals but more effective. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone, if you've got a difficult clog, and you don't want to hire a plumber, your snake-ing skills are sub par, and you aren't particularly patient, the Drain King is for you! Also, major thanks to the amazon community for consistent reviewers, I should do it more often, but I never would have bought this had I not read so many positive reviews. And they were all correct. Great job Amazonians!

Cleared massive clog, but check your drain lines to the main first for other connecting pipes!
I wish I brought this sooner, and also wish I checked the plumbing setup in the crawl space before using it. Easy to use, just put on end of a hose and put into a drain. Make sure you buy the right size for your drain pipe. We had a clog in kitchen sink drain that was slow and then stopped all together. Tried plunging, small snake, chemicals. Nothing worked. Tried this and it cleared the clog finally!! But be careful and check your plumbing lines before using! This pushed the clog towards the main drain line, however there was another sink that had a drain pipe merging before the main drain. This pushed the clog past the other sink drain line, then the path of least resistance is nasty fluid coming back up the other sink drain pipe. Needed to plug that second sink while running the drain king at the main clogged sink. Now our kitchen sink drains faster than ever, but could have saved a lot of cleanup by checking the plumbing setup first. So yes, this works great, even with our crappy well water low pressure.

Very impressive tool!
This is a 10 star product and I was very surprised at how effective it was. I had a problem with my pool vacuum and a lack of suction coming from the skimmer. Super simple to use โ just twist it on to the end of a normal hose. I first tried it on the pump basket side for 10 minutes first, which loosened things up but didnโt handle it. I then put this on the skimmer side for 10 minutes and โ wham! Handled! Pool vacuum back to perfect operation with proper suction again. Such a relief! I am very very happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone with pool problems that seem to be from pipe blockage.

Great product, just need the piece to connect it to a hose
Did a fabulous job unblocking whatever was blocking a skimmer in my pool. Works just as described. But it was a real challenge to connect it to our hose, as the needed piece didn't come with it. I eventually figured out how to borrow the needed piece from our spray pistol. I'd give it 5 stars if it either came with that piece or at least tell us what it's called in the instructions so I could have ordered it on Amazon. Anyway, after considerable frustration, it did an impressive job once I figured it all out. I think I will be using it a lot but I will face the same challenge when connecting it to the bathroom or kitchen faucets.

It works!
It works! Spent the previous day trying to get silt out of a patio drain. The clog got worse with every attempt. Googled how to clear the drain. Passed over the ones we already tried. Saw the drain bladder highly recommended. Bought it. Delivered the next day. 15 minutes after putting the drain king down the drain the drain was running clear. Now I will buy the next size up for my down spouts that go into our drainage system.

Works like a charm!
I rarely write reviews, but I had to on this product. We have a pipe draining a parking pad (admittedly the builder made too small) and it clogged over time with outdoor debris, dirt, leaves, etc. This worked like a charm, pushing a whole plug of gunk out and clearing the drain! Worth every penny and beats a professional service.

Did not work as expected
Based on reviews, I decided to go ahead with purchase. I had a very slow draining shower. I have long hair. I followed directions and achieved a slightly faster flow, but the drain soon backed up. I tried a few times letting the water flow for up to 10 minutes. Anyway, had to snake the drain, pulled out a very large hair ball. So gross, which is why I was really hoping the drain king would work. Had really high hopes this would work, but it did not, at least for my home. I will say, it was easy to use.

OH MY GOSH!!!
MY STORY-- Kitchen sink clogged. Every other drain was working, even the dishwasher right beside the sink. I used enzyme cleaner every night for 3 nights. Still clogged. Called a contractor friend, a "Jack of all Trades" whose name is Jack. He said to use gel drain cleaner. I did. Drain still clogged, but now poisonous gas was everywhere! DO NOT USE THAT STUFF, especially if you have cast iron pipes! Then I called a plumber friend and he told me to use a snake. I had one. Looking at photos I sent him, he also said the plumbing was done wrong. (There were 2 P-traps, one for each 'bowl'.) So, I decided to correct the plumbing, since I had to take it all apart to make sure the clog was not in those pipes and to do the snaking. There was no clog in those pipes, so that meant the clog was inside the outside wall. When all was apart and I had direct access to the pipe in the wall, I used the snake. What a horrible job, cramped under the sink, feeding 25 feet, one foot at a time. My head started screaming with pain. I got up and was quite dizzy. I realized it was from inhaling the chlorine fumes. (Chlorine is DEADLY.) Had to attic fan the house and go lie down at my neighbor's. After that horrendous job, I finished re-plumbing (it does look lovely now) and ran the water. STILL CLOGGED!! Then plumber friend suggested all KINDS of Heavy Duty 'solutions', with industrial augers and such. I gave up for the day. When I awoke, it dawned on me that, since it didn't take much water to fill up the pipes, the clog MUST be close. Telling a neighbor handyman-type about it all, HE mentioned this gadget. So, I researched it and watched YouTube videos. It made sense. I bought the 1-2" one for the 1.5" piping. It ends up that this was THE size to get. Still, I was leery, after both Jack and Jeff (both long-time contractors) were warning me against this thing. They also warned me about checking to see if another pipe came in. That might cause the water to go where it wasn't supposed to. Bottom line ... It worked like a champ!! Since the pipe in the wall turns almost immediately to the right and down (I stuck my finger in it), I had to force this device in and it had to turn with the pipe. (I was glad I got the gadget with the metal end.) It was just barely all the way in and wouldn't go further. (I had attached a hose to the sink faucet with an adapter, so I could better monitor things.) I turned on the water VERY slowly. Nothing was leaking. YAY. I was then able to gradually turn it on to full force and nothing blew apart or leaked. Nice. I could hear noise, but to me, it did not sound like the pulsating sound I thought I'd hear. If the pulses were very close together, that might have been the sound I heard. After about 30 seconds, the sound evened out. I let it run for maybe another minute. That was all it took. Less than 2 minutes! I put all the plumbing back. After having the sink backed up for two weeks, and with all the failed attempts, I kept looking down the sink as I was using the water. I couldn't believe it wasn't backing up. HA! So far, all seems good! I cleaned of the gadget and it seems ready to go again. However, even if I had to buy a different one for every clog, THIS is the way to go!! WHAT A SUPER INVENTION!!!!!! My suggestion? Use this FIRST. Good luck!! If I can do this, you can do this. After all, I'm just a 111-pound girl, and naturally blonde. :-)

I messed up!!!
I thought I did everything right, I was trying to clean my swamp. Well after a week of netting my beautiful bug, One lone frog, algae filled sludge pit I thought that it was time to pump the bottom to waste.....Ohhh was I wrong. I must have been just churning my backyard soup pit for a week straight for brewing goodness. Well...my pipes got clogged with leaves, algae, dirt and I am pretty certain demons from another realm that seeped out from this unholy disaster. Then after much research, an exorcist and a month long soul searching retreat, I stumbled upon this, from what I can only describe as "saviour", as if by the divine intervention. I am pretty sure it was blessed with holy water and enchanted prior to being bestowed upon me. It took all of 2 minutes to expel the evils that possessed the plumbing. Now I no longer have a green gurgling toxic waste dump, its a pretty clear pool with swimmable sanitized water that can function.

It worked to clear my bathroom sink clog! Nothing else did. Setup details in review.
My bathroom/vanity sink was clogged deep in the plumbing. The p-trap, along with the rest of the plumbing under the sink, was clear. I had tried everything including using a plunger, pouring in boiling water, 3 applications of the green gobbler, and snaked it a few dozen times with a 25ft snake. Nothing would get this drain to unclog and water would backup quickly after turning on the faucet - bringing up gunk and debris and leaving a layer of nasty grime in the sink. I decided to order this after seeing videos of it on YouTube. My drain pipe was 1.5" so I bought the 1-inch to 2-inch version of the Drain King. I also had to purchase a 10ft hose (3/4" hose with 3/4" female on both ends and an additional 3/4" male adapter on one end). I also had to purchase a 1/2" female to 3/4" male adapter since the only source of water nearby was the shower head faucet. Total cost was $20 for the drain king, $20 for the hose, and $6 for the adapter. The chain was setup as follows: shower faucet (water source) -> 1/2" female to 3/4" male adapter -> hose in (female end) -> hose out (male adapter attached) -> drain king. I shoved the drain king into the drain pipe, turned on the water slowly and waited. It didn't sound like it was doing much compared to videos on YouTube. There wasn't really any pulsing or gushing sounds and I thought it wasn't working. However, after re-attaching all the plumbing I was pleasantly surprised to see that the drain was completely eliminated! So glad that headache is over - that sink had been unusable for weeks.

Good product
Used this to clean out the lines for a pool, it was very effective at preventing backflow and did a good job cleaning the pipes out, I wonder if they are able to create more pressure than I could get to clean the pipes, however if they could not this is a 5 star product for its use in my opinion
