Great product for sealing cracks, gaps around foam board insulation, etc.
I've used Great Stuff cans before but this was the first time using the Pro version with the separate gun. WOW, what an improvement this is. The gun makes all the difference. The trigger releases a valve located right at the very tip on the gun, so there's no exposed foam to clog up in a straw or tube. The same can can be used over the course of a month!!! Just clean off the accumulated excess foam from the outside of the tip and you're ready to go again. The screw know adjusts the flow rate, set to a low flow and take your time until you get your own rhythm going. I'm very surprised how much foam is in each can and I'm likely to only use 3-4 cans for what I thought was a big job and would use all 12 cans. Excellent product, excellent gun. I'd definitely recommend andnbuy again.

Lasts long, does what it should, cans are tall so you may need extensions or a longer gun
Lasts much longer than expected. Used to fill gaps on top of brick wall and seal rim joist, gun worked great, nice control. No leaks or issues when attaching to gun. The cans are tall & I had to purchased a separate extra long gun to reach further into rim joists. Drys quick, messy if not careful as expected.

As advertised and WAY cheaper than LOWES & HOME DEPOT
The same setup was going to cost me over twice as much as the big chain hardware stores. Easy to use and I love having the ability to adjust the foam output. You can close the gun and come back a few months later and pickup right where you left off without having to attach a new can or do any equipment prep. DO NOT store the foam gun with an empty can attached or with the nozzle still open. If the foam hardens in the gun than it is nearly impossible to clean it out.

Took a few cans to get psi up
Couple tips if you're use to using larger canisters of closed cell insulation. The first few cans didn't have the psi I'm use to. Only about 10% would stick to the wall. Wouldn't be a huge deal but some of the area I was filling was a little far. Thought I'd try putting them under a little more heat. Put them about two feet from a small 1,000 watt heater for 45 minutes. BTW I had them in a room at 70F before this for a couple nights. It wasn't enough. Heating these up seemed to do the trick. The increased heat gave it the extra psi to hit hard enough and stick. You'll still have to plan a little more if you're use to larger canister type sprays. Inly about half the can will have a fair amount of pressure. The rest you'll need to put directly on. It's possible I could have just heated them up more. I wasn't sure how much was to much. For the R and sf, I think it's a pretty good deal. Also. I had no problem with anything clogging. I went through 12 cans in a row and had no problems at all. I'm guessing the people who had problems, probably didn't read the directions about how to change cans correctly.

Awesome! Must have for do it yourself people
This stuff is great! I will never by the old fashion great stuff or any thing brand for filling gaps. This is so precise, easy to use comfortable to hold. You donโt they product on your hands any more. Love it. Also, very easy to clean up. I was a little worried about that. I have used this several times and it cleans up easy and is ready to reuse the next time.

Big improvement for the cabinet for my hot tub
I purchased a modest, relatively small (400 gal, "6-seats" but really 4) hot tub and installed it on my upper deck earlier this year, a big project both requiring substantial strengthening of the deck itself and then significant improved insulation for the tub itself, including panels beneath the deck where the tub sits, panels inside the spa cabinet, and foam for inside the base and coating the tub seats within the cabinet. I ordered this spray foam for the latter (base and seats). I used every can of it but was also able to install a nice 3" insulated floor and a good 2" shell around the seats within the cabinet. It took a little patience, as I had to put just a bit at a time in a given spot, especially on vertical or partially inverted surfaces. Then, as the foam dried and left something to "bite," I could come back and add more and thicker quantities at a time. I can tell that the tub is now MUCH more efficient at both heating and retaining heat than how it originally came, almost completely uninsulated. Separately, I added 1" foam sheet insulation to the cabinet walls and more 1" foam sheets to the underside of the deck and both of those helped as well. In the process I learned the following: SHAKE THE CANS VIGOROUSLY FOR AT LEAST A MINUTE, IF NOT MORE. That makes a huge difference in expansion and getting most from each can. Spray with the can nozzle pointing down, so all the goo finds its way out. Don't do too much at a time, or the weight of added foam will collapse the lower layers. Keep a towel or sheet of wood or cardboard beside your work space to divert any messes while in-process, as well as a can of acetone & paper towels to clean up and keep the tip of your sprayer clean. Good stuff!

Awesome stuff, cleaner isnโt best but works
This stuff is great, gets rock hard, fills big gaps no problem and 1 can goes a very long way. Follow the instructions and the gun works great and lasts. You will need more cleaner unless you are using a lot each time.

Different thread canister vs gun basket. Force fit & basket leaks foam
The gun basket has a different thread than the foam canister, so it's not a simple twist on twist off installation. The foam was coming out all over the basket while I forced the canister to thread into the basket. Maybe they sent me the wrong gun for Great Stuff canisters, but it all came as a kit, so it should have worked fine together but didn't. The mess made it difficult to clean the gun because foam was all over it. And it cured on the outside of the gun while I was using the gun. The barbed tip of the gun did not hold the applicator tip or the plastic straw on the gun... the pressure of expanding foam in the tube pushed it off and the foam came out and got all over the place. I never did get a clear spray of cleaner out of the gun and used half a can of the cleaner to clean the gun after using only one canister of foam. At that rate, I'll need 6 cans of cleaner per dozen canisters case of foam to prevent ruining the gun by inadequate cleaning. The cleaner is almost as expensive as the foam. The foam canisters do contain a lot of foam. I was pleased by the volume of foam dispensed from each canister. The gun worked fine when applying foam near the floor and walls, but not so well near the ceiling or roof rafters where the canister sticking up prevents close access. So, I tried to use the straw, but once it blew off of the barbed tip, the foam was too slippery to keep it on tight and it kept blowing off and foam went everywhere. Same problem using a 1 foot plastic tube... holding and observing the tube with one hand to dispense properly and the gun with the other hand was a disaster. When the tube blew off the end of the gun but I didn't see it. Foam all over the place (and me) before I realized what happened. Make sure you wear your old clothes when you do this job. The foam doesn't come off of fabric... but it might waterproof it if a few spots though. Looks ugly...
