Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition - Nintendo Switch

This is such a fun game. I have enjoyed playing it a lot more than I thought I would.

I grew up watching the Harry Potter movies and reading the Harry Potter books. I was very excited about this video game when it came out and purchased it on my PS5 initially. My children all have their own handheld switches. We were excited when the switch version of this game came out so that my oldest child could play as well. It's just as good as the PS5 version and the game itself is pretty fun. Now for the actual gameplay critiques, I wasn't a big fan of the fact that a deviated from some of the Harry Potter world. I didn't like that you could go out at night and nothing would happen, you wouldn't get in trouble if you will. I felt that there wasn't enough thought into differences between characters if you chose one house or another. Also the items and clothing were kind of lacking. However the game was super nostalgic, very good looking, and I enjoyed a lot of the characters that your character runs into. I would suggest this game to anyone who enjoyed the Harry Potter world.

I mean, can you get anything better? I haven't noticed any glitches or anything, and I've been playing it off and on for over a year now. It got me through early postpartum. I have days where I CRAVE this game! Anyone else?

I just wanted to add a review so that people who don't have amazing skills as video games, but still want to play this game can know that there are four levels of game play difficulty that you can choose from at the beginning. So, I am not very good at video games yet, so I was worried that this game might be too difficult for me and I would just give up. But it's got that wonderful feature. So you can choose from Story-based playing, Easy, Normal, and Difficult. I chose the Story option and am having a blast! I would definitely recommend this game, even if you aren't that into the Wizarding World. Super interesting and fun. (side note: the story line is more interesting than I thought it would be. It's definitely a well constructed game so far.)

Love the game play and story. The cut scenes are spoken and fantastic. Goes without saying, the graphics are what is expected with such a loaded game on a switch.
