I've been cleaning my CPAP mask exactly the way my doctor recommended; unscented, disinfectant soap and water, rinse and dry. It works but takes time. Recently, while researching filter replacements for my SoClean unit, I discovered the Caretouch CPAP Mask Wipes. I was excited to order and try them. After several weeks of using I feel qualified to offer up this brief overview. I was attracted to several factors: - Unscented - 3 Ingredients: Purified Water, Decyl Glucoside (one of the few surfactants known to be safe), and DMDM Hydantoin (it kills bacteria in cosmetics to keep them sanitary, deemed safe at cosmetic levels) - No Animal Testing - Ease, convenience Others may also want to know: - Made in the USA - FDA Registered There are 70 wipes per container. Just like other popular disinfectant wipes, you thread them through the top. The lid opens and closes and the next wipe is there, ready to be pulled up, used then discarded. The mask gets wiped free of dirt, body oil, grease, dust...done. Toss the wipe. It's really that easy and I love it. There is no scent left in the mask, no alcohol or medicinal smells. The CPAP mask is left refreshed and ready to use again. It really does what it claims; removing the oily, greasy film left after wearing for a night. I am 100% satisfied with this product and I will purchase it again. The only "Con" I would add is this: I hope the same company, CareTouch, makers of other handy wipes for electronics and more, will also consider making handy travel packs as I travel frequently with my CPAP in tow. The canister isn't the easiest to pack for travel, especially for shorter trips where bag space is premium. Great discovery. Great purchase. The price is fair and shipping with Amazon Prime made it a quick order-to-door experience for immediate use.

I am now to the Bi-pap (or C-pap) world, I am so grateful to have this product available. It is important that the mask on the equipment is cleaned after every use; for me, that means every day. These wipes are easy to use and I keep them right next to my machine. Thank you for helping me transition to this new normal!

These are fantastic! The key to this product is the container closes and seals properly after using. This ensures that the product stays hydrated with the cleaning solution throughout the life of its use. I use one wipe per day and it works as intended! It is a good product that has a purpose. so unless you are applying this product directly to your skin or not following the directions and allowing it to dry before placing your cpap pillows or mask on there should be no issue. DMDM hydantoin is an antimicrobial agent and preservative. It increases the shelf-life of cosmetics (e.g. shampoos, skincare products, hair gels, etc) by "releasing" formaldehyde and thus killing bacteria. This keeps cosmetics sanitary, and prevents illness due to infections. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) lists the hazard level of DMDM hydantoin at moderate/high. It is not known to cause developmental and reproductive toxicity, and has a low risk of being a carcinogen. The chemical may be a problem in people who are allergic to formaldehyde, and can increase the risk of developing a formaldehyde allergy. The most common type of allergy is a skin allergy. As of 2005 however, the independent Cosmetic Ingredient Review panel (established in 1976) lists DMDM hydantoin as a "safe" ingredient [2]. The benefits outweigh the risks, especially at the low levels that are found in most cosmetics: The CIR Expert Panel has reviewed the safety of formaldehyde in cosmetics and personal care products and concluded that it was safe to a great majority of consumers but has limited the concentration to 0.2% free formaldehyde due to the skin sensitivity of some individuals to this agent. The amount of DMDM Hydantoin required to preserve a product (less than 1%) does not expose the consumer to concentrations of formaldehyde above the 0.2% limit for formaldehyde recommended by the CIR Expert Panel. So unless someone is very sensitive to formaldehyde, this is a generally safe chemical. It is poorly absorbed by the skin, and there are no adverse effects from oral exposure [2]. Nevertheless, when finding toiletries (e.g. baby wipes, sunscreen, etc) for babies and young children, it might be a good idea to stick to preservatives that are associated with fewer complications. So wipe you cpap equipment allow them to dry the benefits of cleaning you equipment it should not be a issue unless you have a allergy!! If you do you should already be aware of that as it is used in many products we already use.

I like these unscented wipes to clean my mask before retiring for the night. They allow for a good seal between the face and the mask to ensure a good fit and to allow the machine to function properly.

I’m very disappointed with this product. It doesn’t clean my mask’s cushion as well as other, more expensive wipes I’ve tried. This causes a restless night’s sleep, as loud air leaks wake me and force me to reseat the mask. If I’d known these wipes contained formaldehyde, I’d never have purchased them. They are turning my mask’s cushion yellow.
