Would the whale tie fit a black suit?

How thick (not wide) are these ties? A good tie shouldn't be too thick because it makes the knot large and hard to get that nice groove in it.

Not at all thick, if anything a bit more on the thinner side than most silk ties but still perfectly acceptable.
