Best I’ve found for cleaning sneaker soles, but they crumble quickly
Usage context: I bought these specifically to clean the rubber soles of white leather sneakers. Expectations vs. reality: They work better than anything else I’ve tried for removing dirt and scuffs from rubber soles — the difference is immediate and noticeable. The trade-off is that the sponge material breaks apart while scrubbing, leaving little pieces behind that you have to wipe up afterward. Details: Effectiveness: outstanding for sneaker soles; cleans deep scuffs quickly. Durability: sponge breaks down fast, especially on rubber or textured surfaces. Ease of use: simple to wet and start scrubbing, no chemicals needed. Versatility: while I used them for sneakers, they can be used on walls, counters, etc. What I liked: Best product I’ve tried for cleaning rubber sneaker soles Works fast and requires no added cleaners Affordable and easy to use What I didn’t: Sponge crumbles into small pieces during use Doesn’t last long, especially on rougher surfaces Who it’s for / not for: For: Anyone wanting an easy way to remove dirt and scuffs from sneakers (or smooth surfaces in general). Not for: Buyers expecting a long-lasting sponge that can withstand heavy scrubbing. Bottom line: Excellent cleaning results, especially for sneaker soles, but be prepared for the sponge to wear out and leave debris behind. Even with that drawback, it’s worth it for how well it works.
