Can the cam and sock be purchased separately and still sync?

Yes, the Smart Sock is not required for the Cam to operate. The Cam and Sock can be added to the same Owlet app but function independently of each other.

Can I view multiple cameras w the app? If I get two owlet cameras for two kids in different rooms?

If you add a 2nd child they will not be both visible at the same time. It makes you click on the name to open up the camera view.
