This device is very simple to use. Follow the on screen prompts and just start talking. I'm married to a Brazilian woman who speaks Portuguese only. This device out of the box has completely changed our ability to communicate and so far it hasn't missed a translation yet. No having to go through word reconnecting or trial and Era just start taking to each other. What a great piece of equipment. We've tried several different types of devices with no success. The V4 worked immediately out of the box were both very happy. I would recommend this to anyone needing a excellent translation tool. Yes it's not cheap but things that actually preform as needed usually aren't!!

Just recieved the translator for my trip to Europe. I think its functions pretty well. It can be used without Wifi or your iPhone. It used Mobile phone network and transltion speed could be slower than Wifi connection. After connecting to home wifi, this translator respond very quickly. It is good to be used in learning foreiggn language. more than enough language options for me to pick up. I like it instantly!!!

THESE ARE THE MOST TERRIBLE SOUNDING TRANSLATORS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. I HAVE HAD THESE FOR A WHILE NOW BUT I FORGOT UNTIL NOW, WHEN WRITING A FEW REVIEWS FOR PURCHASES I HAVE MADE ON AMAZON, THAT I STILL HAVE THESE AND THAT I NWVER COMPLAINED BEFORE THIS. I AM ACTUALLY QUITE AMAZED AND SHOCKED AND NOW REALLY CONFUSED AT THE MONENT AS I BUY SO MUCH FROM AMAZON AND I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AMAZON WOULD SELL ANYTHING LIKE THIS. AS I MENTIONED, I PURCHASED THESE A WHILE BACK AND I WILL ADMIT THAT MAKING A COMPLAINT THIS LATE IS MY OWN FAULT. UT AS I WILL DESCRIBE, THESE TRANSLATORS MADE ME SO SICK THAT I SIMPLY PUT THEM BACK IN THE BOX AND PUT THEM IN A CLOSET AND FORGOT ABOUT THEM. SO SORRY. THE ONLY REASON THAT I CAN THINK OF AT ATTEMPTING TO JUSTIFY MY LATENESS IS WHAT I AN ABOUT TO SAY. ALL THAT I CAN STILL THINK ABOUT, AFTER PUTTING THESE BACK IN THE BOX AND PUTTING THEM IN A CLOSET AS FAR AWAY FROM ME AS POSSIBLE. *** I HARDLY EVER COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTHING AND IF I DO COMPLAIN, IT IS JUSTIFYABLE AND THIS IS DEFINITELY JUSTIFYABLE AND ALSON IS THE MOST DIFFICULT ONE THAT I HAVE EVER MADE. AS DIFFICULT AS IT IS, I TRULY BELIEVE THAT BY MAKING THIS COMPLAINT, ALTHOUGH LATE, I STILL BELIEVE THAT IT MAY HELP SOMEONE TO AVOID MAKING THE MISTAKE I MADE AND PAYING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS THAT IS ABSOLUTELY USELASS AND TERRIBLE AND TERRIFYING AND WORTHLESS.THESE ARE THE VERY WORST TRANSLATORS I HAVE EVER HEARD. AND BTW, I HAVE HEARD QUITE A FEW DIFFERENT ONES. FURTHERMORE AND TO END ALL OF THIS, AND TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR ABOUT MY COMPLAINT, BUT ALSO TO ADD INJURY TO INSULT, THEY EVEN HAD A SPECIAL PROMOTION WHERE I RECEIVED 2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1. YOUWHAT A JOKE. SERIOUSLY THOUGH, THESE TRANSLATORS ARE THE MOST TERRIBLE I HAVE EVER HEARD THE DIFFERENCE IN THESE TRANSLATORS AND A GOOD QUALITY TRANSLATOR, THEY WOULD PROBABLY CRY, AS I ALMOST DID. SADLY AND HONESTLY, IT WAS MORE LIKE EITHER CRY OR VOMIT. JUST LET ME SAY THAT ALTHOUGH I CAME CLOSE TO CRYING, I DID. NOT. BUT I DID GET SICK.I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS, BUT AS I SAID, HOPEFULLY THIS WILL KEEP ANYINE CONSIDERING ORDERING THESE TO PLEASE RECONSIDER. AT THE LEAST, PLEASE LISTEN TO SOME QUALITY ONES FIRST SUCH AS IFLYTWCH OR SIMILAR. I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL SIMPLY BE AMAZED AND NOT BE SORRY, AS I AM !!!!

It’s good but has some hiccups - it spells some words wrongly . Sometimes it’s slow , where’s as most of the time it’s pretty fast . If you carry it around while it’s on , it gets triggered and does things you don’t want , if you carry it in your pocket - it needs a firm carry case to prevent this . Design seems good / accuracy good be better / speed varies sometimes .

This device successfully translates full sentences quickly without being on WiFi. I’ve used this device in Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand without any issues. I was able to have fully translated conversations. This device is more expensive than other translators, but absolutely worth it as it translates full sentences rather than word by word.

It's not as good as everybody says it is. The translator gets things totally wrong to where if you're not careful and proofread that the translator got everything right it can put your life in jeopardy. Some of the translations were threatening and nobody even said anything like that. It got the translations wrong about 50% of the time. The only good thing about this is that if you don't have Google translate on your phone where you don't have cell signal this thing does have cell signal but it doesn't have cell signal in a lot of areas. I went to Sao Paulo Brazil which is I think the fourth biggest city in the world or something like that. They have cell towers everywhere. Half of the time it didn't have cell signal

This is a great device for me and my travels, I have been teaching in Italy for a number of years. For me learning another language has never been easy. Last year I borrowed this same device from a friend who uses them in a University class, I used it to communicate with my clients in Italy and it worked like a dream. I am not a very tech savvy person so this Vasco Translator V4 was a godsend. It is very intuitive and easy for me to navigate. I was able to finally have full conversations with these friends I have known for years, and it felt great. The package arrived with so many extras, a wrist strap, a clear plastic protective case and a Vasco Powerbank in case I am out and about and the device needs juice. I like the size and style of the translator fits into your hand well and seems to hold good battery charge well the photo translator part is very handy and accurate and a good helper. the translator is fast and sometimes struggles to keep up and you think it did not capture your sentences, but it completes it ok over all ill rate this 95% translator Dislikes price is a bit high for this item. Using Swahili not quite accurate as i guess it's spoken in so many dialects but was understood enough at times some having to ask again to confirm on their answer the translator to text you must keep hold of the button so you get the full conversation otherwise it will stop and finish, if they pause to long between sentences annoying.

A very recommended device for those who really do need to perform great work in school studies or in school projects if they’re linguistically skilled and want to find right words and to find the adequate synonyms in order to find the correct words for the perfect sentences.

Absolutely brilliant. I almost cancelled delivery as I was not sure whether it will be delivered in time for father’s birthday but they expedited it after I emailed customer support and it arrived exactly on time! The translator itself is first class
