This was one of my favorite books as a kid. I purchased a copy for my nephew. Illustrations are beautiful & the poem is just as beautiful as I remember.

This was one of my favorite poems as a child, and I wanted to share it with my 6 year old grandson. We both enjoyed it very much.

It's exactly what I expected. It arrived in pristine condition. The book is a good, brief and picturesque version of the original poem.

This is a beautiful book. I bought it for a 5-yer-old boy. His native culture is East Indian and he has been interested in North America's "Indian" culture. He loved the book and it has encouraged his interest in other cultures. It was exciting for him to learn that he too lives on the shores of Giche Gumee.
