Good quality
Using for crafting and it’s PERFECT!! It’s super tough and not “cheap”, I am coloring it with alcohol markers to suit my projects (smaller pieces) and it’s great; excellent deal for $10.

larger size looks great
I only just got this, so I cannot yet speak to whether it is truly stainless, but I am happy with the apparent quality at this point. I bought the 5mm bead version, which I knew would be a lot bigger than ordinary pull chains. I am happy with my choice, because I like the look and feel of the larger beads. One thing I found though was that I needed to treat the connectors differently when connecting between smaller chains and this chain. For instance, if you want to use this with a light fixture, you cannot fully replace the smaller chain with a bigger chain as it would not fit through the hole of the mechanism -- at least in the case of my fixture, but I think that sizing is probably common. My solution was to use a pair of needle nose pliers to crimp the end that attaches to the smaller chain. To be clear, I did not just squeeze the whole end at once. That might work, but I thought it would look better to bend in each corner of that end of the connector, so that one corner overlaps the other. That held quite firmly, and looks good. My only complaint at this point is that some of the connectors were hard to get apart from each other because they had become overlapped and sort of entangled in shipping. But it didn't take very long to get them apart.

THE ONLY WAY TO BUY BALL-CHAIN....
Whatever size of this ball-chain you choose, you will be very pleased with the quality and quantity of the chain and the 100 connectors that are included. I did design a way to keep this huge amount of chain stored WITHOUT the tangling that occurs when trying to dispense off of the roll shipped on the cardboard spool. I used an empty Ibuprofen bottle with two holes drilled in the top as shown in the picture. I spooled the chain into the bottle and ran the end of the chain up through one hole for a very easy way to dispense, and the other hole is to re-insert the free end of the chain back into the bottle 4-6 inches to keep the free end from dropping back down into the chain supply. When you need the chain, pull out the loose end and pull out the length you need. After-which, feed the loose end back into the bottle several inches to store the remaining chain supply so you do not "lose" the free end. Also placing the small bag of connectors inside will keep everything together. With this storage method, you will have your chain at the ready, WITHOUT any tangling.... As a suggestion, when figuring out the length you may need for a neck chain, with such a huge supply of chain, it is better to cut the length you need AFTER adding a couple of inches of length as you may find that "I wish I cut it a bit longer" will/may be the result if cut it too short. Shortening a cut length is easy, "stretching" it longer, not so much :-)

Sturdy despite its size
The chain is small in size but has been very sturdy. Initially thought it would break under stress but it has lasted. One aspect to consider: it comes in 55 feet. What to do with the rest?

Cut to size ball chain, non tarnishing
55 FT ball chain use this as a lanyard for some id badge holders I make and is super sturdy and easy to work with. It does t tarnish or cause stress on the wearers neck due to weight. My clients can shorten it as they wish being able to remove extra length with regular household tools. Plenty of ends to make several chains out of the package.
