Let me start with, I am female--because, when I was shopping and reading reviews, whether the urinal was female friendly was my first question. :) I had back surgery years ago and was given a similar device to use while I was in the hospital so I wouldn't have to struggle onto a bed pan or get out of bed and stand up. I was able to sit on the edge of the bed and...well, you know. It was a Godsend. Many moons later and I'm [mostly] well enough to go camping [with a mattress and lots of padding--lol] but I am too old to go tromping around in the woods several times a night [a sad side effect of kidney disease]. I've got a camping trip coming up and the idea of using Tupperware or a bucket in my small tent seemed distasteful so I'm glad I found this. I'm assuming it will work the same way it did in the hospital--with adjustments for the tent. However, before I went into the wild, I did test it at home in the shower. You may want to experiment with the angle that works best for you but I turned the funnel around the opposite way as shown in the picture and it worked WONDERFULLY. No drips, no runs, no errors. Compared to similar items, I liked that it had a flat bottom so I could put it down while I...um, wrapped things up. My plan is to close the lid and keep it and the funnel in a plastic bag when not in use. [And empty it in the appropriate place in the morning.] It is made of what appears to be medical-grade plastic and should clean well with hot soapy water. I filled it with water and closed the lid and, indeed, when you turn it on its side, liquid will leak out around the lid. So, if you plan to toss it around when it's got something in it, keep looking. But it will work for me. [If it doesn't, I'll report back.] I just want to add that one reviewer commented on the "weird" number markings on the side. Obviously, she has never been unfortunate enough to have to have her "input and output" measured. If this is being used for a bedridden person with medical issues, those numbers can be very helpful. And now, into the wood!!

Thank you the video review of this product made by Millie that comes up with an easy hack to make this work. After a freak accidental fall, I've been made completely bed bound for the last few months and will unfortunately continue to be so for the next few months. However I just bought this and duck tape for the hack and have been pleasantly surprised with how easy this is to use. There has been a small dribble at the end but that might be the angle I have to use. But for the most part, this works effectively and has allowed me use this in the adjustable bed provided by the rehabilitation facility. It's easy to use on my own without assistance and an aide is able to easily dump it for me.

The product does what it is intended to do and if you find yourself in a tight spot needing to go you won’t be upset to have this handy. The fit works and is a good size for adults. That being said the lid cap does tend to be loose and pop off easy so be careful when disposing of contents.

Like the small design , and it holds plenty of liquid , great on long trips

This is too small to last through one night of peeing. The adapter doesn’t fit on or stay on unless you wiggle the seal ring, then have to push super hard to get it on and stay on. The flip top cap, also doesn’t stay on. It does not even seal all the way! If it’s knocked on its side in your car while camping, get ready to clean pee up at 2am! Even with the female adapter on, it’s very hard to aim inside - definitely can’t try this if intoxicated or in a sleepy daze. After you use it, the adapter has to come off to close the cap. No where to put it or store it on the container. Just have to lay it on the floor with pee on it. Yay! This would only help in a dire emergency, if whatever else you used wasn’t available. But why would you keep something that is so ineffective and awkward laying around . Even worse is it’s IMPOSSIBLE to clean. The opening is so narrow not even a small bottle brush will clean the mildew that it builds up over night. Never used a container than mildewed soo quickly. But get this, when you file a return, they actually make you to mail it back to them for a refund!!!! Does anyone want to actually restock this item used? It was embarrassing dropping it off at the ups store. I now use an empty protein powder container. Way easier in all ways.

Ideal for camping or long car journeys. Not sure if watertight but has wide base so fairly stable. Best lady’s bottle tried so far. Very easy to clean and disinfect
