In this riveting sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller, Maestra , femme fatale Judith Rashleigh once again leads readers into the mesmerizing and dangerous underworld of Europeโs glamorous elite. Since opening her own art gallery in Venice, Judith Rashleighโnow Elisabeth Teerlincโcan finally stop running. Sheโs got the paycheck, lifestyle, and wardrobe she always dreamed of, not to mention the interest of a Russian billionaire. But when a chance encounter in Ibiza leads to a corpse that is, for once, not her own doing, she finds her life is back on the lineโand sheโs more alone than ever. It seems Judithโs become involved with more than just one stolen painting, and there is someone else willing to kill for whatโs theirs. From St. Moritz to Serbia, Judith again finds herself maneuvering the strange landscapes of wealth, but this time thereโs far more than her reputation at stake. How far will Rage take Judith? Far enough to escape death? The second installment in an unforgettable trilogy, Domina is the next sexy, ruthless, and decadent thriller from mastermind L. S. Hilton, and an adventure that will push Judith further than even she imagined she could go. Review: A fun follow on read! - Sexy? Of course. What did you expect. Mystery? Continues. Twists and turns; travel, marvelous clothes and locations. Keeps you involved right up to the final moment. More to come? Please ... Review: I liked it, I think.... - I read Maestra a while back and seemed to remember I liked the book. Upon learning of a follow-up book, I thought Iโd give it a try. I had a bit of a problem following the story, especially with all the various characters. The book was a change of pace from what I usually enjoy reading. I did very much appreciate the sophisticated vocabulary and style, however, sometimes I was left trying to figure out what was going on or unable to understand certain references. All things considered, I ultimately think it was a pretty cool read notwithstanding I sometimes felt confused or that topics were over my head. I think the authorโs writing and word choice are superior; possibly too much for an average reader. The worldliness of the book seemed necessary and didnโt bother me.

Disappointing after Maestra
Gave Maestra 5 stars and a rave review. This one fell short and the last part of the book seemed strange, for reasons I cannot explain without a spoiler. This one was mildly entertaining but was not a real thriller. Some of the scenes seemed far-fetched and the main character lost luster compared to Book One. There are several sexual scenes that seemed overwrought and not especially evocative โ too much detail and too little soul. I will read reviews of Book 3 carefully before buying it.

Not as good as Maestra - actually not even close!
Not as good as her first book, but I finished it! I will say there was WAY TOO MUCH art history, like more than my average mom brain could handle! The sex appeal was gone from the first book and her mystery was lacking in comparison, but if I hadn't read Maestra, I probably wouldn't have cared for this at all! I had SO many high hopes after reading Maestra that I was SO eager to read this. I did like the further character development as well as the history with the main characters mom!

I loved Maestra as a the guilty pleasure read
I loved Maestra as a the guilty pleasure read; I devoured it on short plane flights while traveling across Alaska for work. Unfortunately, Domina has hardly any of what made Maestra so fun to read (murder, sex, art history, fashion....more sex....). While it's certainly entertaining, it was a letdown for me story-wise and the lack of the intrigue that made Hilton's first book in the series so fun just made it a slow plod through a poorly written crime thriller. Very sad, because I was so ready to love it!

Engaging. Utterly engaging.
Maestra really opened me up to the inner machinations of the femme fatale. Domina REALLY explored those same machinations and gave me even more feelings to experience--wonder, shock, and lust! It was a hell of a ride!

I love her style of writing. Flows flawlessly from the 1st book to the next! I already ordered the last book.

Even better than "Maestra"
If you read the first book (Maestra) you already knew into what you were getting yourself into and if you liked it, you will get everything you are looking for. However, this novel seemed to me to be more mature than the first. In the first, the erotic scenes sometimes seemed to be "intruders", placed there in order to attract some readers to a novel that would not be their choice otherwise. In the second, there are fewer but they all seem to be necessary. The only thing I didn't like, was that there were too much fashion brand names. Otherwise - fantastic reading and I can't wait for the story's conclusion.
