Yes, You can play music from either Bluetooth, micro sd card, or flash driveUSB. I love my little gadget, though we have to listen to music in sequence, can skip ahead or back one song at a time but cant search files.

Does the speaker random play music from a memory stick?

No you have to select the more such bluetooth, radio, or p!at music. Once the more is selected you can use the skip forward and backward to any don't you want.

Will it charge my phone?

No it is not a power bank. The speaker battery is rechargeable but not power bank

Is this stereo or mono speaker output ?

I wonder if there are two speakers in the unit? If so, it could be pseudo stereo (i.e. 2-channel output but close together). It only accepts mono (i.e. one set of RCA jacks) input on the back.
