This is a wonderful kit. After I bought my first one I bought three others to finish. The yarn is really good and enough to finish each 4-inch square. They test this by finishing a square two times to see how much yarn they used. They say this is for kids but I don't think they would have a successful time of it. The cross stitch is a bit above their motor skills, and isn't the easiest thing to do on these. The pictures are cute and printed very well on the squares. They supply plastic needles for child safety but there is no way you could use them successfully. These are really quality kits, I think they're more for older women. Kids would have fun with them but the square wouldn't look good, in my opinion. This is a good company, you won't be sorry.

The kit was purchased to teach a 7 yr old needlepoint. We did not get to a pattern yet but it is great for the basics. My one complaint is that the needles are plastic and flimsy-they bend.

Great intro to sewing/ cross stitch for kids. Helps with fine motor skills and following directions. I wish the needles were so flimsy though.

These were a huge hit during enrichment time in my second grade classroom. And we realized a side benefit is the fact that they are strengthening their finger and muscles and improving their hand eye coordination which transferred then into helping them sustain writing. Complete side effect, but actually turned out really well. The students loved making their own bookmarks. I cut down the little grids so they were manageable size for small fingers and they went to work.

The canvas squares aren't nearly large enough to do an actual cross stitch. The squares that you would have to use are 13x13 but the pattern calls for 26×26. You simply cannot follow the patterns on these. This is a total scam.

One of my granddaughters has shown interest in sewing and knitting her grandmother sat her down and showed her how to do both of them,she picked it up very quickly and was quite good at it sow we decided to buy her the set for Christmas. The set is very nice and we cannot wait for Christmas Day 👍
