Refreshing alternative
Adds a subtle flavorful taste to club soda for a nice refresher without the alcohol.

Oh gosh, not so good…
I’m new to the n/a scene, and have recently invested (it’s a HUGE investment compared to buying booze) a few hundred dollars in alcohol free spirits. The Seedlip line is definitely sexy looking. Kudos on the marketing. The first bottle I tried was the #108. As I sipped the concoction I made according to their recipe, I couldn’t put my finger on the taste. It was a “vegetable” taste. My husband tried it and exclaimed- PICKLES! It tastes like pickle juice! And then it hit me. Vinegary pickle juice, bwaahhhh! Not sure what I will do with this very expensive pickle juice. Maybe Virgin Mary’s? I’m afraid to try the others they have. This whole n/a scene is a journey of trial & error. This one gets the proverbial reject buzzer… Sad, but still exploring other sobering options-

Non-Alco "Gin"
OK, this is my first foray into non-alco spirits and I have been drinking Bombay Sapphire exclusively for the last 20 years and before that, mostly Tanq. I'm not gonna bother with SEEDLIP's complexities and botanicals, blah, blah, blah. I'm only interested in if it will be a decent substitute for Bombay Sapphire in my gin & tonics. Well, I find it pleasantly refreshing and while I will still drink my gin & tonics with Bombay Sapphire, I will look to the SEEDLIP Garden 108 rather than mixing that second alcoholic gin & tonic.

A grassy botanical that is quite different than other drinks. Takes some getting used to.
When I took my first sip, I was like ‘ugh’. It tasted like compost to me. BUT as I kept sipping, I came to like it more and more. Don’t expect it to taste like an alcoholic drink - it doesn’t. Or like anything sweetish or even vaguely sophisticated mixer. It is a complex botanical taste that you really have to take on its own. I started with their recommendations - I love all things cucumber. In fact, I had expected a cucumber taste. Nope. But I need to really explore it with mixers (I could see ginger beer), with stronger cucumber or maybe citrus. Perhaps the appropriate bitters. It’s a very complex flavor.

Complex, Adult flavor!
As someone who can't drink due to an alcohol allergy this is a godsend! When I make virgin cocktails with this it has a complex adult (not sweet) taste. I think a lot of people who can't drink will really appreciate this especially when the only virgin options are usually super sugary lemonades/soda etc. The bottle is pricey but so are nicer spirits so I don't mind, although I do hope more bars/restaurants will stock this as it's the kind of thing I'd love to order while out. It seems like people are upset this doesn't taste exactly like gin, but I think you need to have an open mind, it's a unique product with a unique taste and mixed with tonic waters etc. it really tastes amazing. If you can handle alcohol I think you'd be more likely to brush this product aside as it's expensive and not exactly a replacement for gin, but if you're someone who has to stay away from alcohol (or is really motivated to cut back) let me tell you it's worth it!

Work in progress
Hmmm. Seems like a work in progress. I tried some straight out of the bottle (of course!) and it tasted like flavored water. I tried some with the suggested serve, tonic and peas, and it tasted like a grown-up drink. Ditto with tonic and lime. But it smells a little weird. I’m thinking of experimenting with juniper berries to get a more ginnish flavor...and I’ll try the Exotic flavor, I guess, to see if it’s like Opihr. The price is ridiculous and I wouldn’t buy much - see the picture for what $40 buys you in reasonable booze and not-booze - until the price comes down. But I’m still thinking about this one. Nice effort. Update: I tried soaking juniper berries in it and that improved it just a bit, but not enough. It comes down to the smell, which I really dislike (and I'm a country girl). I'd try the Exotic flavor, but not at $40 after already blowing $40 on this flavor. I really, really wanted to like this, and I'm intrigued by the way it transforms tonic into an "adult beverage," but it's just not for me. Sorry.

Unique and wonderful
The garden flavor is complex and wonderful with tonic water and other mixers. Those reviewers expecting gin and tonic just don’t get it. This is a whole different drink. It’s an entirely different distilled beverage. You can’t expect gin and whiskey to be interchangeable so don’t expect this product to stand in for any other. It is unique unto itself and stands alone. For those of us who choose not to drink alcohol but would enjoy a distilled beverage, it fills the bill. Friends who are designated drivers really appreciate it as well. It provides the opportunity to offer not only non-alcohol beer but a distilled drink too. Give this product a try with an open mind and a creative spirit and I guarantee you will love it!

An expensive novelty, B-/C+; I'd just hit the produce section instead.
I do enjoy the flavor, and did need the 2oz pour, which I mixed with soda water. I thought it was a bit vegetal, and mint forward. I was trying to reproduce my standby of Ketel One Cucumber Mint and soda. This is close-ish, and with a cucumber garnish would be even nicer. My main objections to this are the cost, and the bottle size. I don't know why they've opted for a 700ml bottle instead of a standard 750ml, but it seems like a philosophy of "shrinkflation" before there was anything to shrink. I find the cost of this product to be its most off-putting flaw. The $31 for this bottle puts you in the neighborhood of the price range of some very decent spirits, for which you'd receive a larger bottle. At half the price, I think I would buy Seedlip, just for the novelty and convenience, but in the future, I think I'll just buy a cucumber and some mint leaves and a lemon.

Used to be fantastic... then bought 2 dud bottles!
My partner and I have been drinking this for years (never drink and drive). First discovered it at The Ivy. We often buy a bottle when it's on offer (here at Amazon and elsewhere). It had the most gorgeous, heady botanical flavour - excellent with tonic or elderflower. At the beginning of the year I got a bottle on Amazon that was utterly undrinkable! The date embossed on the bottom of the bottle did not make any sense. Exactly the same thing happened with another bottle purchased elsewhere. The taste was weak, medicinal and decidedly 'off'. I wrote an email to Seedlip, got an automated reply that they would be in touch within 5 days, but heard nothing thereafter. Can they really afford to lose customers?

Yummy with tonic and a wedge of lime.

Delicious alternative non alcoholic drink
As a replacement for gin it works well for me. The taste is delicious, although does not compare to gin, it does provide a very easy & drinkable non alcoholic alternative for those who can't drink alcohol. Highly recommend

cher mais bon
Donne une vraie illusion de boire une sorte de Gin tonic, mélangé avec du schweppes...Très bon substitut alcoolique pour les amateurs de gin.

First the good bit. I comes in a nice glass bottle
First the good bit. I comes in a nice glass bottle.Apart from that it doesn't even make a pleasant soft drink no matter what mixer you add and I tried everything. It tastes like boiled hay with a side salad of elderly raw pea pods ( minus the peas ) and a garnish of unknown weeds. It smells awful, tastes worse and leaves a really nasty after taste. Silage - preserved grass cattle fodder - would be a far better alternative. Ugh! What a waste of money.
