Still not perfect, but so so much better than the replacement circle pads I used 5 or so years ago which were too small and chipped easily. This one looks pretty close to OEM, glides well, and is the correct size. It is still not rubber like OEM, but feels plenty grippy and will get the job done. The included tools are also pretty good for this and other projects!

Bought this to put on my 2ds since the rubber part had peeled off. Feels like new and works great! Not much else you have to do other than pop the old one out and this one! Just be careful with the washer for the circle pad as replacements for those are not included in this kit. Those would be a nice add in considering this already comes with a couple of tools.

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this kit -- not just the replacement part itself, but with the tools that it comes with. I was installing this on the wedge-style 2DS, so I only needed one size of screw driver and the blue prying tools were largely unnecessary, but I appreciate it still came with them. Installation on the 2DS is very simple. The only thing you'll want to watch out for is the ribbon cable that connects the rear cameras, as you need to disconnect that before pulling the rear of the case fully away. After that, you just remove two screws holding in the joystick and flip it over. I didn't even need to disconnect its ribbon cable. One thing to note is that this kit DOES NOT come with the little plastic discs that go around the thumb pad on the inside of the console. You should be able to reuse the ones that are already there, but if you accidentally tear one or lose it, you might have a problem.

This set is great for at home repairs of the circle pad. The tweezers, pry tool, and triangle wedge helped greatly with disassembly allowing me to safely disconnect the back plate and the ribbon cables for the L&R buttons. The screw driver was not the best but it got the job done, the bits were a little too loose and came out often when I was removing the screws after unscrewing them. The new pad feels great and functions just as well as the old one. Overall I'm happy with this set.

Glad to have bought this, cause my Special edition Tony Chopper One Piece 3DSLL/XL joystick was deteriorating. (I'm assuming because of age because every use kept withering it away.) This is a good temporary replacement untill I can find one a bit softer like the original. Fits well and the installation prices was pretty smooth. Also, yeah like you'll probably read in every other review. It is a bit plasticky feeling than the original, but I wouldn't say to the point where it's in any way uncomfortable in use. I really do like all the tools it comes with though as it comes with plenty. My only criticism with the tool set is that I wish the tool set came with a better tool that removed the 2 back screw cushions a bit better because when I use the tweezers it came with. It destroyed the back two screwdriver cushions leading me to having to replace them. I don't necessarily blame the tool sets too much because those cushions are like damn near impossible to remove and were really hard, even when I tried removing them with my nail, but I just thought this to be cautionary to anybody else that might find that important.

It’s great. I love that it comes with two so now I have a backup. Something you might want to know is that it is not the same material as the original 3ds, instead of a soft silicone it’s made out of plastic. Not a big deal to me, it still feels wonderful to play with, but it might be to you. For me it feels like it will last longer with this material. I included some photos of my old one next to it for comparison. It definitely makes my old one look worn out! The gray matches my old one very nicely, just less dirty lol. It might just be in my head but it seems smaller? I think it has to do with my old one being worn out so much that it’s flattened out a bit. (Old is on top/right, new is bottom/left in photos, any pic of ds is with new) It makes my 3ds feel new again, would definitely buy again.

My sister broke her 2ds and wore her analog stick down to nothing so this helped me get her 2ds back in order

The kit is great and the stick is just what I needed. It seems a little smaller than the original on my 2DS, but I can't see or feel any difference after it was installed.

Fit's the O3DS XL perfectly and the thumb pad has a nice soft texture compared to some of the other cheaper replacements. I will buy these ones again for future fixes/replacements. A++
