i originally bought this just to adjust the volume on my tv since i use a fire stick, but this controller connected to both my tv and fire stick!! it was really easy to set up, and it connected automatically after putting in the batteries (which are AAA btw). it works well on my tv being that my tv is like 9 years old

Works good enough. Connected fast and easily to my LG TV. My only complaint is I find that I have to mash the buttons 2 or 3 times. It's slow and laggy but works in a pinch.

This was easy to set up and worked right out of the box. The problem is that there's an input lag when pressing the same button repeatedly that's really obnoxious. For example on a smart tv if you have a row of apps and you're pressing the right arrow to navigate over you can't press it repeatedly, you have to press, wait for it to register, then press again, then wait for it to register. This was also the case with the volume, you couldn't just hold the button down to change the volume up or down faster.3 stars because it does work, and if you don't have a smart tv it's probably fine. But I'm going to get a different remote.

I think my son almost cried when I gave him this and we got it set up with his TV. Little had I known he lost his remote a while ago for his TV and he wasn't really using it because operating it with the buttons on the bottom was beyond annoying. So when he finally had enough he told me he lost it and thought his TV was done for, but I opened his world with the universal remote lol. We got it and set it up within like 5 minutes and he's happier than IDK what lol. It was an easy buy, good price and has been working perfectly since!

I bought this remote to replace the one that came with my LG TV, and it works just fine. It was really easy to set up, basically just put in the batteries and it was ready to go. The remote feels light but not too cheap, and all the buttons I use the most work without any problems. Sometimes I have to press a button twice for it to register, but it is not a huge deal for the price. Overall, it is a solid backup or replacement if you lose your original remote and just need something that works without any complicated setup.
