Great little project to change up the look of your Switch! The kit comes with a ton of extra screws and screwdrivers. It feels almost exactly the same, and it’s great for the cost! Installation was pretty easy, as they include a video tutorial. Overall, a great kit!

I am absolutely thrilled with my eXtremeRate DIY Full Set Shell for Nintendo Switch in blue! The color is gorgeous and gives my Switch a sleek, premium look. Installation was a bit of a challenge, but the end result was well worth it. The shell fits perfectly and feels sturdy. I love how it adds a personal touch to my console and sets it apart from the standard design. The installation process was a fun project, and I enjoyed the process of customizing my Switch. I'm so impressed that I'm considering doing the same to my Steam Deck and exploring other shell options in the future. The quality and design have won me over, and I'm excited to continue personalizing my gaming devices with eXtremeRate's products. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add some unique flair to their consoles!

The injection molded parts are made precisely, and while a little flimsy, I didn't have issues. The gamecard slot in the kit is garbage; use the Nintendo one. The included screwdrivers are junk; buy a Quinn electronics repair kit from harbor freight for $40 so you don't strip your screws. Some of the self tap hole sizes on the plastic components are too large. The two most memorable are the singular screws that hold the rail to the top piece of each joycon. They do not bite the plastic and freespin. Do not overtighten the motherboard of the joycons, or you will lose button tactility. CHECK BEFORE CLOSING UP THE SHELL!!! Most importantly, take your time. Especially if you are brave enough to replace the chin piece that essentially requires taking nearly the whole switch apart. There is an excellent instructional video made by ExtremeRate w/ a commentary that I followed. The entire process took about 4.5 hours to finish. Overall this is a great kit if you're looking to customize the look of your switch. I love the atomic purple look and I've already been asked where I bought it. Good luck!

I like that the shell is slightly textured and frosted. I used to have a clear purple shell that was totally clear and smooth to the touch, great if you are into that, but I think that look and feel gives it a slightly cheaper feel to it. The texture and slight frosty look give it a more premium look. I did add extra frosty look by spray painting the inside shell with matte clear but even by itself it looks and feels much better than my previous shell, almost like it could have come that way from nintendo.

She's absolutely beautiful as expected. I had planned to use the atomic purple buttons included with the kit but unfortunately my kit was missing the ZR and ZL buttons. Luckily I had a white set sitting around. eXtremerate is sending replacements so no stars docked for that. Mistakes happen. I'm very appreciative of their spot on customer service. eXtremerate as a whole is top notch and their products are always of the best quality on the market as far as shells and customizations go. Be prepared for the back plate install, it's a doozy! By far more intimidating than the joycons, and literally nothing to be compared to a V1/V2 swap. You will have to tear down basically your entire switch and it is kind of terrifying. eXtremerate has a video online, watch it a few times, then watch it a few more. Take your time. Stay organized. Allow yourself a few hours. Don't forget to breathe and don't have a 5 year old breathing down your next the entire time like I did. This product came with so many issues the screw holes wear not set right and it didn't come with all the replacment parts I made it work but it was garbage I should return it but I dont want to to go back and take my oled apart again

So I remember back when I was a wee lad I had managed to get a SNES controller that was a smoke grey transparent controller. This has partly brought me to always love when I can get clear cased controllers. When I'd gotten my OLED switch one of the first things I did was swap the joycons for smoked clear cases but alas, the main body still had to remain black because a clear case had not become available yet. This is no longer true though! After much time though a clear case for the switch OLED had finally become available so as one who loves nostalgia must do I immediately made the purchase for the case. Upon arrival I began the install process. Much of the install wasn't too bad...with the exception of the bottom piece of plastic. That piece was the large challenge to replace. The replacement of that piece is why I gave it a 3 star instead of 5 on the install difficulty. If you take your time though it isn't a horrible replacement to do. Overall, the quality is wonderful and would definetly recommend!

El paquete incluye todo lo necesario pata hacer el cambio, recomiendo que lo realice un experto o tener mucha paciencia ya que básicamente es desarmar toda la consola. El material se siente un poco mas delgado que el de fabrica, recien la instale no puedo opinar sobre duracion. En cuestion de aspecto queda 10/10 adicionalmente puedes personalizar con los botones anteriores.

Lo he instalado y mejor no podía quedar me evoca buenos recuerdos de la niñez

Fand das Design richtig cool und hatte seit langem nicht mehr an sowas geschraubt und wollte zum reinkommen das Gehäuse der switch oled tauschen. Die Lieferung war schnell und im Set war alles enthalten, auch wenn ich lieber mein eigenes Werkzeug benutzt habe, war das enthaltene Werkzeug ok. Die Teile passen perfekt und das Video erklärt den Umbau gut. Das einzige Manko ist, dass die cardridge Abdeckung etwas kurz geraten ist und daher nicht einschnappt beim zumachen und auch etwas schwerer aufgeht. Der Rest passt sonst.

In love with this shell, however be careful removing ribbons when transferring as they are fragile!
