Best Headset I've Owned
Hands down, one of the best headsets I've ever bought. The sounds quality is phenomenal and the base makes them so easy to charge. I can switch between my Xbox and PC easily. They have a band on the inside for added comfort and theyre easy to adjust.

Just do it.
TLDR: If you're reading this, just pull the trigger. You're reading this because you're wondering if any of these reviews are real. I did the same thing. I'd never heard of RIG before my wife bought me a wired set for my birthday. They were fantastic. The way these are designed, they keep the weight of the headset off of your head.. The only reason you know these are on is because of your ears. Sound quality, the environmental quality (eg. hear it left, you see it left when you turn left - Positioning, maybe? I dunno.. these are great for "positional hearing") I put the set my wife bought me on my seat and went to the bathroom.. came back, and sat on em and broke them.. I may have had a few beers.. So, I enjoyed the headset so I looked at current RIG offerings, and came across this wireless set. Now, I've been thru the expensive ones, the "popular brand" ones.. and they were all crap. Batteries failed, didn't last., no distance... whatever. So, I wrote off "wireless" headsets. BUT, with RIG, I was so impressed with the wired headset I sat on and broke, I saw this wireless set and decided to give it a go. I've been a gamer since, literally, Pong. I have been in IT for over three decades. I'm impressed.. from the quality of the sound, the quality of the Mic, the battery life... EVERYTHING. Still the same lightweight "band" that keeps the headset weight off your head.. You won't be disappointed unless you get a unit that isn't 100% functional from the factory like mine is... and lets face reality.. nothing is 100% in manufacturing. I've not had to deal with returns, refunds, or replacement... just a happy old guy who was impressed with the quality for the price. If you're in the market and doing the due dilligence research... Like Nike Said... Just Do it. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite headset to use for PC and Xbox but I’ll make my review honest.
So I switched from Turtle Beaches to Astros, and then lastly RIG. I love this headset for plenty of reasons: it’s lightweight, perfectly sized for my ears, and has kept up with me for about three years so far. It lasts a very long time when doing long gaming sessions, so I would say this alone is what I mainly enjoy about the headset.. Obviously this differs from person to person. A personal aspect of it is…It’s not annoying when it’s low on battery- you don’t have a loud beep or voice telling you to charge the headset every minute. I have this issue with my pair of Astros I still have and it becomes irritating. The charging stand isn’t good or bad, it does the job. Now for everything I dislike about the headset as a whole- because while I love RIG there will always be flaws in every product. For the money you spend on the 800 PRO HX WIRELESS, I would say it’s not worth it if you’re looking for something that’ll last a long time. This could be different for every user but my RIG started showing signs of error after just three years and most of the issues I had were with the microphone: The mic has a mute option: flipping it up mutes, flipping it down lets you talk—simple enough. Well, each time you do this, there’s a small beep—actually two different ones, one for flipping up and one for flipping down. At first it’s not annoying.. but eventually my RIG started beeping even when I wasn’t flipping the mic. Sometimes flipping it down wouldn’t unmute me right away, so I had to do it twice. This started happening during its third year, and I was really bummed because this headset was my main one for everything—gaming, watching videos, you name it. Another complaint is how others hear you. On Xbox parties specifically, sometimes you sound really low at first. After a few minutes—or even a headset reset—your voice sounds normal again. Not sure if everyone experiences this, but my friends on Xbox noticed it. On PC, no such issues. As for everything else- the only thing which has experienced any issues was the volume button itself, it kinda works then it doesn’t and this started happening again in its third year run. Overall: RIG is an amazing brand, I love it a lot- and I’ll admit.. there’s probably better options out there. I personally believe they’ll do better in the future and I’ll consider buying another pair because I’m deeply attached to my current one. However, if you’re looking for a headset to use often- let’s say everyday for the long term.. I personally wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re really good at taking care of your stuff. Everyone’s usage differs and for me I used it everyday.. so perhaps it was due to overusing my pair. I will have to say it’s microphone was the biggest red flag of it all in my experience but for 95% of the time it worked perfectly fine. For a person who plays games from time to time, especially competitively I would recommend RIG. Comfortable and an overall solid headset.

RIG IS WELL MADE & SOUNDS GREAT
I can't tell you how many times I fell asleep wearing these headphones, while watching a late-night movie. Rig quality is way up there... they DON'T skimp on quality components, unlike other headphones that start hurting my ears after an hour. You can buy replacement covers online... I always keep a new pair around. The covers will stretch out over time & they will come off easily. The sound quality is EXCELLENT- for games that have sounds coming from different directions, you need to get this brand! In one game, I was hunting an apex predator. Because I chose these headphones, I was able to locate & kill the animal, instead of my character being hunted. The Dolby Atmos is the BEST as far as I'm concerned! Music sounds great, and video games sound incredible. Get the best, and forget the rest... you are getting WAY MORE than your money's worth! Music is rich sounding, and you can adjust the voice chat, so you can still hear music AND whoever you are talking with. I can go into the kitchen (slightly more than 30 ft from where the console is), and still be able to talk to friends. The battery lasts a LONG TIME... I noticed the Rig battery time has increased in the past 7 years, and I love the fact that I can use it while it is charging. I will be a Rig customer for life.

Buy at your own risk.
Sound started fizzling out and becoming static less than a month after getting these. Reached out to their customer service 3 different times on the phone and they all said I would get an email to begin the warranty. Didn't get anything the first 2 times and the third one actually sent the email which I filled out and have gotten only crickets since then. Buy at your own risk. Huge waste of time and money.

Not terrible, not great
Bottom line up front: if you can afford to pay extra and buy some Astro A50s or A40s, do so. ---- I bought these to replace a defective set of Astro A50s, so I already owned Dolby Atmos and was accustomed to a 'premium' headset. The Pros: - The first thing I noticed was how light these were! Not cheap feeling, but very light in your hands and on your head. - Very good 3D spatial audio, you can clearly hear bullets whizzing by, or hear footsteps coming up behind you. - Good sound quality, especially if you take some time to calibrate the equalizers and settings in Dolby Atmos. I found these to be more 'clear' sounding than my A50s, but the A50s had a 'richer' quality to them. - Easy to get setup and going, plug the bluetooth USB into the dock, plug the dock into the xbox, and power the headset on. 5 minutes tops. -------- The Cons (and why I am returning them and buying another set of A50s): - The motion sensor is not sensitive enough... these will power off and disconnect from the xbox if you happen to be relatively still while watching a video or playing a game. I found that I need to shake my head regularly to keep them from powering off. - Despite the lighter weight, I did develop some ear soreness after extended sessions. -Connection issues!! This headset will intermittently disconnect from the xbox during any given play session, but will absolutely glitch out if any other device in you wifi is on the 2.4 band. They required several factory resets before I could get them functional again, and the problem is 100% reproducable (my wife was in the other room on a laptop... which was on the 2.4 band. Once she swapped to 5ghz the problem immediately stopped, and it started again once she swapped back) - The overall range is significantly less than the A50s by about a third. Not a huge issue if you take your headset off to go grab a drink, but I prefer to keep mine on. The A50s will reach the kitchen, the Rigs won't. - The balancer between game sound and party sound is a joke, to hear my xbox party I had to dial the balancer 90% towards party chat to hear them at all. - My xbox crew reports I sound more robotic through the Rigs than the Astros.... I am not, in fact, a robot so this isn't ideal. ‐------- Overall the Rigs are a nice headset, especially at the price they ask.... but there are nicer headsets out there. Are the A50s twice as nice for twice the money? Maybe not, but the excellent A40s are in the same price range. Are you willing to deal with a few minor (and one major!) issues to save money? I wasn't.
