I just bought a Lenovo laptop and was concerned that this product might not work with it so I wrote the company. They answered quickly and told me that it was compatible with my new machine so I ordered. When it arrived I started plugging things in. USBs for a keyboard and mouse and a VGA for a terminal. They all worked flawlessly except for a minor problem with the VCA plug. The cable for all VCA plugs I've ever seen have two screws to hold it to the port. The dock doesn't have the screw holes necessary for that. But I was able to just put some tape across the plug attaching it to the docking station and problem solved. I sent another message to the company telling them of the issue. They promptly responded and said that they'd report the issue to the manufacturer. I was impresses. I like the docking station and I like the responses I received from the company. I highly recommend this docking station.

My main issue is there is no external power, so I cannot connect to my laptop to receive power from the docking station like the one I had that broke, forcing me to also plug in the laptop. Not a deal breaker Another minor complaint is the usb-c cord is ultra short AND on the wrong side, at least for a right handed person, because you want the monitor ports in the back and the usb-c cord comes out the right hand side in that config (and my laptop has the usb-c on the left hand side like most). It is fine though if you are hooking it up semi permanent and not for just a couple of hours at a pop like I am however Other than that, everything seems to work perfectly. It does get alarmingly hot, but that has not seem to have affected performance

Company gave me a full refund!! Thanks! Worked great for about 6 weeks and then one of the hdmi ports just stopped working. I’m super bummed as I need it to work for me to see all my monitors.

Updating my previous review. Experiencing issues with USB devices connecting and reconnecting (mainly keyboard and mouse). As a temporary fix, removing all USB connected devices seems to fix the issue. If I don't touch/move the docking station I don't experience the connect/disconnect issues for a few hours. As soon as I move or bump my desk, the connect/disconnect issues come back. The USB C cable coming from the dock is short and seems to put a lot of pressure on the connection to my Surface. This might be the cause of my issues. A decent device for the money but a real pain with the constent issues with the USB connecting/disconnecting.

I'm so often frustrated with tech that doesn't work or huge pain to configure, but I just plugged in all my peripherals to this device and everything connected and started up immediately. Thank you!

Barely lasted a year before two of the ports stopped working completely making it impossible to connect our external monitor. Garbage product. Older one worked much better for many years.

This is my second usb c hub and it is fantastic. I had one from a different manufacturer that caused issues with the sleep wake cycle on my Lenovo laptop. This one has no such issues. Data transfer is fast and video output great quality. Would buy again.

Looks exactly the same as the other brand just has a different name on it. There must be some other differences because this one doesn’t get nearly as hot as the other one did. I suspect that that’s why the other one quit working. Functionality is there. Does everything I want it to do.
