Could they be used in the water?

Hi Lisa,The material itself is impervious to water and chemicals, so there would be no reason why you couldn't.The hardware is powder coated stainless steel. So I if anything, the hardware would deteriorate first.So to answer your questions, yes you could use it in water, but we have never tested the product with or in water for any long length of time.Hope that helps,Polywood Furniture

Are the screws the same color as the polywood you select?

Hi Laura, The White furniture will come with white screws. Mahogany, Teak, Green, Grey, and Black products will have black hardware. Sand, and all of our vibrant colors will have stainless steel colored hardware. Thanks for asking! Ashley

How much does the color fade out in the elements?

Hi Scotty, We use UV inhibitors and stabilizers in the extrusion process with our recycled plastic lumber to help our furniture from fading.
