HELPS ME!!!
SO THIS THING REALLY HELPS THOSE WHO ARE NOT EXPERTS IN PICTURE HANGING AND ALIGNING IT UP CORRECTLY. THE LITTLE GREEN BALANCER ON THE BACK OF THE ITEM HELPS YOU "BALANCE" OUT AND ALIGN IT CORRECTLY. HAVING THE MEASURING LINES ON THE ITEM HELPS YOU PROPERLY MEASURE HOW FAR OR CLOSE YOUR GOING TO HANG THE PICTURE. TO ME MOST OF ALL, I LIKE THE NAIL THATS ATTACHED TO IT BECAUSE ONCE YOU'VE FOUND YOUR SPOT FOR HANGING, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS APPLY PRESSURE TO THE TIPS OF THE "NAIL" HOLDER AND VOILA!!!....YOU HAVE YOUR MARKINGS. THERE IS A VIDEO LINK ON YOUR PRODUCT IF YOUR A VISIBLE LEARNER BUT ALSO VISIBLE INSTRUCTIONS LAID OUT ON THE PRODUCT FOR YOU TO READ. YES THIS IS VERY HELPFUL CAUSE I AM NOT A PICTURE HANGER AND WOULDNT HANG THEM JUST BECAUSE OF THE TROUBLE; NOW I DONT MIND HANGING THEM UP. STILL MAY NEED A LITTLE ASSISTANCE FOR BIGGER PICTURES THOUGH; BUT STILL VERY HANDY TOOL

can't complain if you learn how to use it
works great and made super quick work of hanging some gallery frames. for those that concerned about the level being on the wrong side - it should face you when the printed measures and marker pegs are against the wall - otherwise how could you see to level it and push on the pegs to mark your nail locations if they were all on the same side....?? pretty intuitive if you've used similar devices, but came with printed instructions and tons of links to videos if extra help is needed

Makes Hanging Pictures Much Easier
This tool takes a lot of the guesswork out of hanging pictures and helps get everything level on the first try. The built-in measuring guides are easy to use, and it works well for everything from small frames to larger wall art. It takes a few minutes to learn the process, but once you do, it saves a lot of time and frustration.

Works well if used properly
There seems to be quite a bit of variance in the reviews of this product. This isn't the greatest product since sliced bread, but neither is it horrible junk. If used properly, it certainly makes it easier to hang pictures - especially those with two holes or hooks . Using it is simple if you realize that this never holds the pictures. 1. Lay the picture on its front. 2. Hold this device with markings facing you and line up the center of this device with the center of the frame. 3. Place the long part of this device at the top of the frame and adjust the two shorter arms so the the hooks on the device engage the attachment points on the back of the frame 4. Tighten up the knobs 5. Remove the device from the picture frame 6. Place the device against the wall with the markings (and knobs) facing the wall. 7. Align the bottom of the long bar where you want the top of the picture to be 8. While holding the device against the wall, give the bottom of the short bars a firm tap. this will let the "nails" on the device mark the points where you will need to drill the holes (or where the bottom of the picture hanging hooks go if you use those) The device doesn't need to ever hold a picture, so the arms don't need to be tightened to the point where they hold anything - they just need to not slip while you're holding the device against the wall (without a picture). So why the three stars? 1. Markings on the back (at least a center point) would be nice. The level works but is a bit wonky at times. I always double check with another level. 2. Seems a bit pricey for what you get 3. The included picture hanging hardware is only suitable for hanging the lightest of pictures

Solid product.
Easy to use and works great. I agree with other comments that you use your own level with this tool, it’s more accurate than the built in level.

Worked for me.
I bought this because I thought it was a brilliant idea and didn’t start reading reviews until after I purchased it. I got very concerned, based on all the negative reviews, but thought I would give it a try. Although I agree with some of the feedback about the design shortcomings, I found it easy to use and it made quick work of the pictures I was hanging. (I do recommend using your own level since I was unsure of the accuracy of the one attached.)

Easy to use and cuts your work down and stores nicely
We had a big empty wall to fill and this tool made the job so much easier. We were done in less then an hour and on our way. Like any tool that conforms to your custom needs you may need to experiment and play around a little to get the best use of this. For us, after watching a few videos on YouTube this was a no brainer. The tool has a level which slides, I put it dead center for our needs. The arms are removable for singe hook or bracket applications. And easy to read numbers help you keep your item centered. The push pins are sharp but small and you really need to push hard to made the mark, also you will notice the sharp pins sit away from the wall when your lining it up, you need to hold the top of the device firmly and at a slight angle push the pins into the wall. By not sitting flush to begin with you ensure you won't mark your walls until your ready to make your mark. This is one of our best finds yet. Very happy with item overall.

Flimsy plastic / Short Hooks - only works for some picture frames / hanging styles
I just moved and had a lot of pictures and artwork to hang. Having done this once before, I wasn't looking forward to running around with a level, a measuring tape, a pencil, etc. (And then being told it was all wrong by my SO and having to do it all over again...) Was really hoping this would be the product to save me. Issue #1 to be aware of. The plastic hooks on the device that you set on the frame are very short and a little thick. If you have a frame to hang with the jagged edge sawtooth hangers or something similar that's very close to the frame itself, you don't have much room to work with. It really would have been better if the hooks were much smaller in diameter and the "arms" a little longer so that you can get an accurate measurement with frames that don't use a wire. Issue # 2, which would seem to contradict # 1, is that the plastic hooks are VERY flimsy. One broke when I was pressing on it to mark the nail hole on the 3rd picture I hung. So now the device is essentially unusable. I know - I just said that the hooks themselves should be smaller. And now I'm saying they need to be sturdier. My recommendation is to use something other than low grade plastic. Maybe the hook portion needs to be metal? Something that doesn't break off under moderate pressure on the 3rd use? Final issue - this would help so much. Even when the device works perfectly and your hanging a frame with a wire, it is still difficult to get the vertical arms aligned perfectly. There are ruler marks on the arms, but you're trying to measure 1/8 of an inch using a giant inch-diameter yellow know. Would really help to have some sort of witness mark or way to get a more precise vertical location measurement so that you know that the two arms are level when hanging a wire frame photo. Bottom line - even when I felt like I did everything correctly and according to the instructions, I still found that the pictures weren't perfectly level and had to break out the bullet level, the pencils, and make extra holes in my newly painted walls. Great idea. Just needs a little more development work. I didn't find that it was ready for prime time.

A bit bulky but great quality
This is very big and can be quite heavy to use. I have seen lighter and smaller solutions. Overall though a very quality product

Making your life easier with this simple tool!
This was extremely useful. I have four frames that required horizontal alignment and I hadn't gotten around to it in a long time. Once I bought this, I was able to use this to setup my frames without any hassle. Works as advertised. Simple tool providing an easy solution.
