As someone who is legally blind and learning Braille, I bought this book for my Wife and Grandson. It lays out Grade 1 uncontracted Braille and the Grade 2 Contracted Braille that we in the blind community use to read. Book is well written and laid out in a manner that explains most of the “hows” and “whys” of Braille. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn Braille. You can learn from this book.

Update: Some information may be German Braille and not UEB (I was curious about the differences since I did the basic language course in Uni and had a PDF). Definitely use as a supplement book and not a main or only reference. It was the round brackets ( ) that were not UEB. ----------------------- Love the print size and layout of the lessons, along with the corresponding exercises to practice. Added bonus is the extra blank pages you could use a template to create more for endless practice with pen/pencil. However, some information is incorrect. So far I noticed (printing?) errors with the punctuation braille, so I would recommend using this as a practice workbook ONLY and buy another UEB braille book to use as a "Textbook". Or download the UEB braille PDF. I am using my 2nd UEB braille book with the PDF and websites to be absolutely sure I am not learning the wrong information now.
