Compared to other locks I had before this one really feel premium, it works perfectly well. I am not fan of the internet connection for this kind of devices but I went through the setup with no issues. Unless you need it I would not leave it connected to the internet.

I only saw "Refurbished" when I saw the item in my Amazon "Orders." I'm pretty sure this refurbisher included a deadbolt latch that was not designed for the Yale Nest lock they sold me. When it arrived about 5 days late, I followed the install insturctions precicely - I'm a carpenter. The dead bolt was tight as I put it in the 1" hole, but I followed the insturctions and applied some force. That damaged the deadbolt, see the picture of the casing that has come apart. The deadbolt would not function. Two weeks later, when I got the genuine replacement deadbold for the Yale Nest lock, it slid into place effortlessly. So ordering from this supplier cost me far more than the $80 I saved by buying a refurbished lock, pushed the opening of my Airbnb back 2+ weeks, required a total of about 10 hours of labor to install a lock that should install in 1.5 hours. This seller is not recommended.

We hope this one will lasts longer than the previous one (same one). Works great with Google Home.

I really like the lock overall. The ability to control my locks from anywhere on my phone is great. Paired with the nest doorbell I can let exactly who I want in and keep out everyone else. The privacy setting - no one from the outside can enter even when they have the code - is great. But it is mainly compatible with the nest app, which is being phased out in favor of the google home app. The whole reason I bought these (I got two of them) was for use with my google home app, so everything would be in the same app. It works with google home, but does not have as many settings and things in that app. I also don’t seem to be able to chance or set any codes from either app, which was one of the main reasons I wanted it. Also, you don’t need a separate nest base or whatever it’s called (the white piece) for each lock - one is enough as long as it is within range of each lock. Overall good, but slightly disappointing.

Easy to install, everything you need is in box. Won’t know if it works well until someone tries to break in.
