Colorescience Brush-On Sunscreen Mineral Powder for Sensitive Skin

My esthetician introduced me to this product and I am so glad she did! This is the best face sunscreen, not to mention how easy it is to apply. Let me start by saying one negative of this product, I have had multiple brushes that do not work and do not release the powder, however Amazon and this company has always been amazing with returns for a defective item. On a new brush, make sure you turn it upside down and tap the bottom of the product three times to get the powder started. It is sometimes hard to see if the powder is coming out (if you pick a light color that is similar to the brush color itself) so here’s a tip: hold it brush side up where there is good lighting and give the brush a few flicks and you can see the powder! I always have success this way when using a new brush. One of my favorite things about this product is it has Zinc! Other cream based sunscreens that have zinc are so thick and leave your face white. I live in Florida and use this sunscreen on a daily basis. I also always buy this 3 pack because I keep one in my car, purse , and vanity for easy application. I also apply this product when going out at night as a setting powder for my regular foundation for a smooth finish and for extra protection from UV rays. This product provides great coverage even from the sun at the beach. As advised on the package, you should apply every 80 min when outside/ in water and I have used this at the beach/ pool without any burning not to mention how quick it is to re apply making it a breeze!!! This product is a must in so many ways!!!

I have been using this powder with sunscreen for years, it seems expensive but it truly is a quality product. I love that it comes in many shades including fair, or more commonly referred to as pale. It's super simple to apply, I remember when the design was somewhat new, it was a challenge to get it to dispense the right amount, fighting with clogged up brushes to wasting 1/2 the product on the floor! Colorscience has great customer service as they sent me a replacement years ago, when that happened and didn't require the return of the one I was complaining about. It works great to even skin tone and cover redness with a barely there feel. Great way to wear that sunscreen, we all know we are supposed to wear without adding extra product and extra time to meet that need. 1 bottle lasts for about 3 months, based on near daily use.

Been using this for years. Works well for my combination, pimple prone skin and protects it from the sun. Adds a nice luminosity to the complexion and does cover up some flaws. It is sheer, so if you have something to conceal I suggest you use a good concealer as this won't cover everything. When I have asian glow it does seem to restore me from beet red to a more pink-tinged neutral color. The darker colors are nice because you can use them to contour. The light colors help you highlight. The effect is very natural so it looks like you are wearing no makeup. It is also water resistant for 80 minutes which is important to me because I swim. You do need to use makeup remover to remove this due to its water resistance. Cleanser alone won't be enough. Use a cleansing oil 1st. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: Years after writing this review I'm STILL using this product as my everyday makeup/sunscreen and love how it fits so well into my 5 minute makeup routine. People are so used to me wearing this product that when I'm not wearing it people tell me I look tired and not my usual radiant self (I suppose some things stay the same). I am an avid hiker and this has helped give me the sun protection I need now that I am more serious about protecting my skin. It does take a while to activate a new brush, but once it's activated it works very well. I just start swirling the new brush on some tissue paper, watch some youtube videos while doing this and keep going till I can actually see the color. I also wouldn't recommend applying it on sweaty, greasy, just-lotioned/oiled skin as it will make the bristles of the brush less effective. If you are worried about keeping the brush clean I recommend just pouring out the powder and then applying with another brush or only use it right after your last step of your skincare routine, but only after letting your lotions/oils/serums dry first. I've been wearing tan in the summer and medium in the winter. If I have leftover tan in the winter, then I can use that as a light bronzer for some contour.

I really like the quality of this powder. It is very fine. Great for setting makeup and I love that it functions as sunscreen. I am very pale though and the lighest color available it is a bit darker than I would like. Also, as much as I like it, I am going to look for a less expensive version. I've bought it a few times now. Good quality, but its just too pricey.

These are the worst. I have used so many powdered sunscreens at a fraction of the cost and I just decided to go back to these assuming they were good because they were the “original” powder sunscreen with makeup brus and I have never had such a poor product all around. The brush is so light and color. You have no idea if there’s any sunscreen in it when you shake a little to get the sunscreen to come out the brush cover slides back over it or product dumps on the counter. The bristles are so soft (which you would normally think would be a good thing) that they collapse as you touch your face, not distributing any product. Just all around ridiculous quality for the price you pay compared to all the others out there.

I was skeptical at first but when my favorite influencer did an ad on it I jumped and bought it. I was really surprised how nicely it gave my skin the matte affect while still providing SPF coverage. While away in the Virgin Islands this was a lovely life saver for my scalp as well. This is now a daily add on to my routine

Ordered and received because I got a sample locally and loved it however waited about 3 weeks to actually open it and missed the return deadline. When I opened it, seemed fine. I thought I followed directions well enough but no product actually came from the bristles. When I asked ColoreScience if there was a fix since it was after my return date, they said no, talk to Amazon. So I’m just unscrewing the back and emptying the product onto a tray and then picking up with the brush to apply. It’s nice product but bummed that this one didn’t actually work. Won’t be ordering from online again.

This seems to work well, easy to apply (as long as you give it a good shake to start) and no skin issues. Great for applying over make up on hot days but also works without make up. NIce to have sunscreen that isn't sticky!

Bad experience. The 3 tubes of powder sunscreen will expire in Aug 20, leaving me with only 5 months to use up 3 tubes.

Product itself is great, but keep in mind you might get charged if you are ordering it from Germany. Consider an extra 14,47 euros to the price. Not expected!
