My husband and I originally wanted the Bartesian but weren't comfortable paying what they cost. I stumbled upon the Black & Decker Bev and boy am I glad I did. We were able to catch it on Black Friday and that really helped us feel comfortable purchasing a device we weren't sure we were going to use that often. It's well packaged and arrived undamaged. It was super easy to set up. The base of the Bev indicates which bottles need to go in which location. We simply clean the included metal straws, inserted them into the proper liquor bottles, placed in the proper location and clipped the straws into the Bev. The Bev does not include any of the flavor capsules which are needed to make the various drinks. We purchased our first group of capsules at Walmart. However, Bartesian has a better deal online and through Amazon. There are numerous different drink capsules available. They come in variety packs and individual packs. To be completely honest, I didn't think we were going to use this device as much as we do. It's perfect for us. Whenever someone wants a drink they can have a single drink and not have to mix a large batch for only one person. If different people want different drinks it's so easy using the Bev. We purchased the corded Bev. We have no need for the cordless version as we don't plan on taking this anywhere. The Bev is extremely easy to use. Simply turn on the device, put your chosen flavor capsule into the capsule area and close it, select the strength of drink you want (no, light, normal or heavy alcohol) and press mix. Within 10 second your drink is ready. The Bev is a high quality machine. It looks great on our bar and is a great conversation starter at parties. We haven't had any issues regarding leakage or anything else. However, if we do I'll make sure to come back and update my review. If you want to try the Bartesian capsule drinks this is the best way to do it, in my opinion. You get the same functionality as the Bartisan at a much lower price. If you want all of the bottles to match, you can also purchase additional bottles on Amazon. We plan on doing that in the near future. There's also a Black & Decker Bev capsule drawer that fits perfectly under the Bev allowing you to store 36 capsules in one drawer. If you're looking for a capsule drink maker, I highly suggest the Black & Decker Bev. We love ours.

They can regulate how strong they want each drink, and the selection is endless. My daughter likes fruity drinks while my son-in-law enjoys good whiskey drinks. Even my grandchildren can get an alcohol-free mocktail that tastes great. This device has fun colorful lights that illuminate the alcohol that's being used. It's similar to using a Keurig coffee maker, and just as easy! This looks great on their bar sitting on top of the pod holder that fits perfectly under the cocktail maker. Anyone can choose the drink of their liking, and nobody has to be a trained bartender to get the mixture just right! This is the perfect gift for entertaining at any bar. It wasn't too expensive, and works great. I highly recommend this for your next party.

You’ll definitely taste the alcohol at that setting. Overall, this cocktail maker is not only fun and easy to use but also reliable and durable. We’ve enjoyed it over multiple gatherings now, and it’s still performing perfectly. I purchased this cocktail drink making machine because it was not as expensive as the Bartisian and held a larger variety of liquor. When I entertain, I often find myself either overworking myself mixing drinks and not visiting much with my guest or cleaning up a large mess from my self-serve bar area. This Cocktail-maker seemed like the greatest idea for hosting friends and being able to offer a variety of cocktails. This machine is easy to set up and great with making drinks with a variety of strengths as well. There is even a mocktail setting for non-drinkers. The Black&Decker is able to use the Bartisian capsules and since you can also have 5 spirits and 1 bottle of water you will be able to make a larger cocktail choice or variety. The clean up sometimes will require more attention since I practice wiping the machine after every use but have found that it will still stick and be difficult to open the pod area with just the slightest bit of stickiness. Also the barcode reader will sometime prevent the operation of the maker if that area has anything on it. So making sure that no liquid or anything that the eye may miss is on the barcode reader which will prevent the maker to not operate. After learning those details this Cocktail maker has become a great item for entertainment and most of my guest like to make their own drinks in order to experience the fun and operation of this Machine. That now has allowed me to enjoy my guest and labor less with excessive clean up. The photo shows the maker with actual liquor bottles which it can hold easily, however, I have purchased some decorative clear glass bottles through Amazon and labeled them with the type of liquor that I have place in them, and this allows me to leave it out all of the time and give my bar area a decorative look. Well worth the purchase.

This is the best machine between this and the bartesian, The Bev looks more like a classy bar and more selection of drinks. We can use all the same bartesian cocktails it’s a must have for parties and get togethers .
