What is meant by solar power?

Is the little timer on top of the jug powered by solar power so you don’t need to remember when you changed the filter

Why does my water taste different. When i use the jug.

Hi there. Hopefully it tastes different in a good way. Did you initially run water through the filter a couple of times to cleanse it first? You need to do that at least twice to remove any loose particles in the filter before consuming. Use cold water, NOT hot water to do this. Never put hot water into the filter. If the water now tastes better it most likely you live in a hard water area so a lot of impurities have been removed. This was the case with me. I never use water direct from the tap, especially when filling the kettle. (Less build up of limescale) it’s a pain but worth it!

The taste is the same. Bitter and tap water taste. Is this normal?

We've used these filters and jugs for years, never had that problem, always a good taste compared with tap water. We keep it in the fridge during the day, then empty it for overnight, so start from fresh in the morning.

what is the difference from the other models - Oria blue white?

Just change the filter every four weeks.
