Excellent Product, plant-based, food-safe, and perfect for vegetable beds
I'm rebuilding my raised beds using Douglas Fir because redwood costs were prohibitive. By simply painting on two coats of this sealer, I think I doubled the life of the raised beds. I live in a dry climate, but the vegetables get regular water. Raw wood would have last three to five years, but after sealing them, I believe they will last seven to ten years if not longer. I had no problem with stickiness even though I was generous with the sealer. It was a quick easy job and so worth the money. Plus, the boards look much better! Great food-safe sealer!

Nice sealant
I used this to stain my wood for my vertical container garden. It went on very smoothly and added a nice color to the wood. It dried quickly and has a pleasant smell. I cant speak to its longevity yet, but I am hopeful it will extend the life of my wood.

Great product. Wear a mask!!
Took forever for the proper time to do this so been awhile since purchase. I used this outside, very easy to apply, however, the smell will get to you very quickly. Super strong odor. Works beautifully so can overcome that issue. Have not done the second coat yet as waiting for an additional shelf to add and will also need this so will wait but the finish is nice and soft . Would definitely use on other projects.

Good, but room for improvement.
I bought a quart of this stuff to seal a trio of new medium-large cedar planter boxes (I'm not planting directly in them, but growing large plants within grow pots, so it's not quite as exposed to moisture as a raised bed would be). It's too soon to tell how well it holds up to the elements, but overall the application was smooth and the finish came out quite nice. I didn't add any tint, so it really just highlights the grain of the wood a bit and gives it a more polished look. I did two coats and ended up with a few ounces of the product left over. Application was easy. If you've ever used Rubio Monocoat it's pretty similar to that. I wiped up the excess after each coat, as directed, and didn't have any stickiness once it was dry. I took off one star for a couple of reasons. 1. The scent. Other folks had mentioned in their reviews that it's got a very strong smell. What I didn't realize is that the smell is, almost certainly, an additive. It's vaguely tropical, but also smells very artificial, like a gas station piรฑa colada air freshener. I wouldn't call it offensive, exactly, but I really wish it wasn't in there. I'm guessing the main ingredient of this product is linseed oil or another drying oil, and I find their natural odors much more appealing than this. It's cloying, and a tiny bit of it on clothing will stink up a room. The boxes are now outside in the fresh air, a few days later, and they still stink like the bargain bin of a Bath and Body Works. 2. There's a lot of marketing copy hyping this product, but none of it seems to include a meaningful description of the actual ingredients. Maybe there's an SDS somewhere, but I dislike that the manufacturer seems to be hiding the ball as to what's in it. Different finishes work differently, as anyone who's ever finished wood knows, and having more info prior to application would be a sign of respect for the customer, in my opinion. It'd also better tell me if what I'm buying is actually a good deal. Despite the above, I took a chance on this stuff because it seemed well reviewed, was competitively priced, and touted as low VOC nontoxic. I'm happy with the results, but I can't say I'd be terribly inspired to buy it again unless the manufacturer addressed the above concerns.

Very good non-toxic wood sealer.
This sealer worked very well. It highlighted the grain in the cedar I used. Very easy to apply also.

Worth trying!!!
I applied the product yesterday to some bamboo trellis and tomato stakes. I'm not sure if it'll last 10 years or not. Though the product is very oily and THE SMELL IS VERY PLEASANT!!!๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป With that said, it is pricey so hopefully it'll go on sale from time because it's at least worth trying. Especially when growing a garden of vegetables or have animals.

Looks great, easy to use, gentle smell, dries quickly
Dries quickly. Easy to apply. Unexpectedly pleasant scent. I get headaches from strong chemical smells but I had no issue with this one at all. This one kind of smelled like fruit candy, so watch small kids around it. I wonโt know how effective it is until the wood has been subjected to weather (sun and rain) for a few months, but Iโll try to remember to update here once I know how it goes. I know what these beds look like with no weather protectant, so I should have a good gauge. Picture is the before and after of applying the sealant to the wood pieces for my raised garden bed. This is just the sealant, and no added colors. I think it makes the wood look richer and somehow more expensive. ๐ Quick notes: gloves and glasses are a good idea (protect your skin and eyes from splatters), get a foam applicator for quick and smooth application, I used a paint tray to pour it in while I was working with it. If you donโt have a way to air dry the wood pieces off the ground, remember it will take twice as long as you think it will because you have to wait for at least one side to fully dry before you can seal the bottom side (the part resting on the ground).

Takes a lot to treat just a few boards.
Bought this last year when we made a new raised bed in our garden. Needed something that would protect the wood but not leach toxins into the garden soil and thus into us. It was easy to use and a year later when inspecting the bed for this years plants I can honestly say it seems to work at protecting the wood we used. My only real gripe is that it took the entire jug to treat just 4 2"x8"x8' boards. Not high on the affordable spectrum in planning a larger project.

Easy to use. Great results. Cedar planters look great and seem well protected. It does give off a strong smell initially but lessens in time.

Because still is the winter time here, I applied to my raise bed's wood before I put them together & sitting inside the house for a few hours. Smell is fine. Don't have headache for first hour. But after 3 hours ,the smell filled the room and made me uncomfortable. So make sure apply and sit it outside of the house. Result colour is nice after applied.

I use this for anything wood outdoors in my yard. Yes garden boxes, but also my cedar deck, my address sign. Anything I want to remain beautiful even through harsh Canadian winters. I live in a freeze-and thaw climate where it can get as cold as -40C (which is the same F) but then the chinook winds blow in from the mountains and it will go above zero. Garden Box Armor protects even in these conditions. Furthermore, it is food safe and non-toxic, and much easier to work with than stain. You do not need to keep a wet edge. It seals in the beauty of the wood itself. And, weirdly, it smells like Jolly Ranchers for some reason? I couldn't put my finger on the smell but my 6 year old figured it out. Jolly Ranchers. It is expensive, yes. But it has lasted far longer than stain polyurethane sealants would so I prefer to think of it as having a high up-front cost, because you definitely save money in the long run. Don't believe me? Just look at my deck.

The sealant works pretty well when fine sand is added to the sealant. Easy to apply with a roller
