Impressed how good it is for the price! The blades included are not anything good so do yourself a favor and throw them out. Get some good quality feather blades and it perform great and give you a nice clean shave. Does have some weight to it so it does feel nice in the hand. Definitely recommend

I have very sensitive skin and finally decided to try a safety razor to see how I liked it. This thing is great. It's easy to learn how to use, feels very heavy and sturdy, and has held up great. I have saved so much money using it, it has helped me cut down on plastic, and I no longer have as many problems with irritated skin after shaving. 10/10. The only time it has every cut me badly was when I dropped it and was dumb enough to try to catch it blade-first before it fell. The razor fell anyways after I dropped it to nurse a cut thumb. But hey, the razor was just fine, because this thing is a durable beast. I only wish the handle had ridges or grips so it was a little easier to hold with wet or soapy hands.

I ordered this safety razor by Baili trusting other Amazon customer reviews and hoping that the quality would be better than two previous razors from different companies. I was not disappointed. In fact, I have been pleasantly surprised. What I like: Longer handle is easier to control. The weight of the razor is balanced and substantial. With this razor and a good blade you really can let it use its own weight to give a close shave. The design is simple and refined. My personal preference is for the razor head to unscrew and come apart for blade insertion and cleaning rather than the butterfly mechanism of other razors. The head screws on to the handle easily and snugly. Time will tell if it lasts. The price is a definite plus. The look, feel, and quality indicate a higher price point. What I don't like: Removing the blade from the razor head can be a bit difficult some time. It requires paying attention and steady fingers. But a small sacrifice for the quality you get The only other thing I dislike is that it does not work with my existing razor and brush holder. Certainly not Baili's fault. But were I doing it again I would want a holder designed for this razor and a brush. To sum it up. There are many things to like about this Baili razor and very few not to like. I recommend it. PS - the Baili blades that come with it are fantastic too.

This razor is amazing for shaving your legs! After searching and not committing for months, I landed on this after almost going for the viking’s blade but found out they’re identical. Being a beginner, I didn’t want to invest too much if I didn’t like it. This is a fantastic entry point, and take no time to learn to use. The blade guides you. My hair is thick and dark with skin incredibly prone to ingrown hairs and irritation. The shave with this is smooth and painless. I’m completely blown away by how soft my skin is and how close the shave was. Shaving with a cartridge razor, I usually prep with porrazo pre shave, then use my brush with a mix of a shave soap and proraso, then wince at my tend skin aftershave. Being on vacation, I don’t have any of these things, so I used Gillette canned cream. It was so easy. No redness. Convert to a safety razor my femmes!

When I first received the razor I was pretty stoked as it seemed well built and had a nice finish. Felt like a razor with a good size handle that worked well for me. I was so pleased that I bought a few of them right away. However over the course of a few months I have encountered issues with a couple of the razors I purchased. For one, the threading wears out quickly on these safety razors and this has happened to at least 3-4 of the ones I purchased so it isn't a fluke. Looks like it's only a matter of time until it happens to the one or two I have left that work 100%. If you're wondering why I bought so many it's because I really like a clean shaven face and so I have several for use in different parts of my house so I can easily grab a shave almost anywhere and feel smooth and clean all day long. One time I dropped one of these razors and the head broke off completely from the handle and now the handle is unusable unless I can figure out a way to remove the screw end from the comb. Wasn't a big drop either. These are simply not as well built as they look. Also this style of comb gets jammed up with soap and hair quickly so you constantly have to clean this razor and take it apart to do so, which means you're going to wear out the already compromised threading that much more quickly in the process. For $10 it's not bad and you will likely get a good few months out of it but it isn't one I would recommend for years of use. It's gonna fail within a year if you use it regularly (3-4 months seems too be the lifespan for these in my experience ) and then you'll need plumber's tape to get the handle and the head of the razor to function and work as one piece. Then you still have to take it apart to clean it and then you'll need to redo the tape and so on over and over again. Not worth the hassle. If all you need is a safety razor for short term use or light duty in a seldom used second or guest bathroom, maybe a gift for someone who wants to try a safety razor for the first time without committing a ton of money to it, then by all means buy it as you could do worse. If that isn't the case though, then you should look elsewhere for a razor that isn't going to fail in a few months due to the threading issue.

I have been using a safety razor on and off since 1962 when in the military. I have very sensitive skin and need a mild razor. I have been using a feather as-d2 ($162) and feather blades. my friend turned me on to this razor. I figured I couldn't go wrong for $12. I was absolutely stunned. the workmanship rivaled any razor I have. (many). I loaded a feather blade and began. It was so smooth I felt my beard and I had no audible feedback. I shaved with,against and across the grain and had no razor burn and a BBS. I was so pleased I immediately ordered another, in case I dropped the first one. Whether you are a beginner or an old timer this is not only the best value but a superior shave. buy it.

I just had a really great shave, my first shave with a safety razor. I have tried all of the modern razors trying to get a comfortable close shave but then not wanting to break the bank. I can't believe the answer is so simple. Now I think the modern 5 blade cartridge razor is just a gimmick to get you to spend more money. I am getting great results with this safety razor for pennies on the dollar per blade compared to a cartridge. There is a slight learning curve to get the angle right but don't worry you'll get it by the time you're done with you first shave. This razor is great quality and the blades that come with it are good too. I might opt for a knurled handle next time because when your hands are soapy it's a little difficult to hold onto.

I have many double edge razors, some vintage, some from well known brands and a few adjustable razors. This Baili razor is a clone of the Vikings Blade Godfather, or is it. I have read that Baili does make razors for different companies that re brand them. Anyway, this Baili razor is sold for almost 4 times less than the brand name. It is a great razor that provide some of the best shaving I had experienced so far. It is very smooth and mild to use, yet it does give you a Baby Bum Smooth shaving, at par with my best Merkur and vintage Gillette razors. It does carry a good weight. I find it an asset when you shave, the weight is helping you. You just let the weight of the razor do the job. It is solidly built and the blade is well secured in the blade holder. At the beginning I was afraid the smooth handle will make the razor slippery when your fingers are wet and covered in shaving soap. But no the grip is very secure and comfortable. This razor will last you a lifetime and provide you with a joyful shaving experience. You won't regret buying it and even offering it to friends and family as gift. About three and a half years ago, I purchased my first ever safety razor in the Merkur 34C. Unfortunately due to bad luck, the head of my Merkur fell while switching the blade and fell down my drain. It served me well, but now I needed a new razor. I ordered this on a whim because I was hesitant to spend money on a Merkur to have that happen again (I'm not rich, thats why I wet shave, it saves money). But I digress, what I thought would be a "you get what you pay for" ended up blowing way past my expectations. The Baili PD191 is essentially one of the best safety razors I've ever used and it delivered a smooth and close shave, closer than what my Merkur 34C paired with Astra Platinum blades delivered. You get more than what you paid for. In your hand the heavy handle feels premium and the finish is a joy to look at. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn on the cheap or an experienced wet shaver, looking to dial down on the aggressiveness of your shave this safety razor is excellent value. I whole heartedly recommend it.
