This thing is absolutely awesome. I recently had my computer motherboard take a dump and had to replace the entire unit. The bummer is you lose all of your desktop's favorites and other items that you may not have had fully backed up or forgotten the backup before it went South. With this thing, you remove the SSD from the old computer. Put it into this housing. And plug it in and it's essentially a flash drive with your old stuff on it. All your user information, desktop, favorites, and anything else that may not have been backed up properly. Saved my butt because there was a couple of files and apps that I had just downloaded and saved temporarily on my desktop before the computer failed. Secondary benefit to this thing is once you're done getting all of your files off and saving them where you need to, this basically becomes a 500 gig spare drive.

Been a trooper overall and does the job well. Only knock: if it gets bumped or pushed on the end while in a bag, the NVMe drive can slide out of the enclosure. The rubber protector also tends to shift around slightly over time — not falling off, just gradual movement. Minor annoyances, but nothing that's stopped it from working fine day to day.

I only needed this for temporary use, to connect a new drive to my PC and clone the C: drive. It worked perfectly for that. It includes everything you need, including both USB-C and USB-A connectors. I used the USB-C cable and the clone took 25 minutes. The enclosure opens and closes easily, the sticky pad for the heat sink does the job, and the price was great.

This is my first case for this type of disc, and I think it's very good. I'm not a purist—I'm easily satisfied—and I think it works really well for me. I bought this adapter to use with this type of external storage drive; it is my first adapter, and I chose this brand because I see it is gaining popularity. Really like how simple this enclosure is to use. Pas besoin de tournevis, le système de fixation par clip est ingénieux et très solide. - Dissipation thermique : La coque en aluminium n'est pas là que pour le look, elle évacue très bien la chaleur. Même lors de gros transferts, le SSD reste à une température raisonnable grâce au pad thermique inclus. - Qualité de fabrication : C'est du UGREEN, donc c'est sobre, élégant et robuste.
