MINKA-AIRE F696-KA, Kafe-XL Kocoa 60" Ceiling Fan with Remote Control

We purchased this new fan for our family room. One issue, I ordered a "coal/black" fan and the box arrived marked "coal/black" but the fan inside was white. An easy return to Amazon and ordered a new one, black, and this one was in fact black. As fans go, this one was relatively easy to install. I'd suggest that if you do want to replace an existing fan, with a down tube, that you measure your existing down tube to make sure it is the same size needed for this fan, mine was not. Overall, the fan looks great and is very quiet. Hope it lasts as long as my old one did.

We were looking for a five bladed fan that would be quiet and provide air circulation for a large solarium. Many the fans came with lanterns or lights that looked out of place and were not needed for our location. I was not familiar with this brand but on reading the reviews we took a chance. It was easy to install. It looks great. It is quiet and functions very nicely. The five blades look traditional and it is not modern or visually obtrusive in the solarium. Very pleased and extremely good value for the price

This fan looks very nice, was easy to install, and works well. My only reason for subtracting a star was that it did not say it came with a ceiling adapter for slanted ceiling, which it does. I bought one and waited too long to install this anmd could not return it.

I LOVE these fans. I bought three fans, two Minka Aire Kafe (in Cocoa and Burnished Nickel) and one Hunter. I installed the Hunter fan first and then the Minka Aires. I wish I had installed the Minka fans first because they put out a much stronger airflow than the Hunter. They were both easy to install with easy to follow instructions. Both very quiet fans. I wish they came with a remote (which you can purchase separately) but overall, very happy with my purchase.

I bought this fan because I have 17 foot ceilings, and I wanted to be able to change the direction of the fan with the remote. This fan moves air well, and looks good. However it is very unbalanced and wobbles so much at high speed that it makes an irritating rubbing sound. I am not able to return it since it took so long to schedule the electrician to install it and discover the problem. I am very unsatisfied with this purchase and would not recommend this product.

We received the fan, which looks and works great. For installation we set the unopened box in the room and called an electrician to install with a bunch of other projects. When he was done, there was a scratch on the center metal piece. He said it came that way when we pointed it out. My husband emailed MinkaAire to purchase a new piece and they sent it at no charge. Great customer service. Fan is quiet, works great and looks as good as some we've paid twice as much for.

We have bought two of these fans for our home. Loved the simple lines of this fan and the fact that it did not have a light. The remote is easy to use. Cools down the room quickly. It is pretty quiet. We have one in our bedroom and we have no complaints about noise.

We're a little disappointed in the fact that this fan has only three speeds. We used to keep our old fan on 24/7 at the lowest speed (it has six speeds) but this one creates too much of a draft and we have to turn it off when it's cold in the house. Other than that, it is a nice fixture. It's quiet and we really like the longer blades.
