If you're in two minds about this product, I'd say its worth the effort especially with a new bike. Water forms droplets when cleaning, be mindful not to use other washing products on the frame etc as this will wash away the protective properties of the ceramic coating.

This is easy to apply to a clean bike. I stripped off the wheels, chain and cranks to ensure all surfaces were covered. The frame feels really smooth and the rain and mud wash off easily now. There is enough in the pack to do two bikes.

I followed all of the instructions to the best of my abilities given I don't own any professional washing equipment. The product seemed to have worked at first- first few rides I can definitely see how the rain drops stay on top of the coating and were very easy to wash off, however, after 5 or so rides the results have diminished and I see a lot of dirt sticking to the bike which doesn't come off just with water as it promises. So my guess is that the coating lasted maybe a few weeks max, now it is still present but a lot more compromised almost to the extent that I barely see a difference from before coating. Luckily I have half of the bottle left so might try to re-apply it again but am disappointed that I need to do that given the promise was to last months if not years with one coat. Given the price, it doesn't live up to the expectations and I would consider a cheaper alternative next time. Also- try not to apply it indoors, the chemical smell is extremely strong and takes a while to air out, your family will really hate you for it and no idea if it might even be potentially dangerous for kids or pets to inhale.

Now, I cycle a lot and refurbish and maintain a large collection of classic bicycles which can be tough going. This ceramic paint protection kit helps to ensure against the elements and stresses on the paint finish on a couple of my favourite bikes and keeps the finish protected while looking at its best. It's straightforward to apply and makes for a clean and resilient finish that repels the muck and grime associated with off-road and road use. The layer of protection is robust and makes life easier when cleaning the bikes after use. Easy to apply. After a muddy outing in the woods, it rinsed off with a hose back to new. Bike also looks mint and new again

I own a Project one Madone. This works perfectly. It does not smear, spot or deform the paint at all. I read a review where the customer contacted Trek and they did not recommend it. All I can say from experience is that it does not affect the paint at all. It works as described and keeps your bike from getting road tar and dirt stuck to the down tube and underside of the bike. Will keep using this as it works.

Great Ceramic Protection Kit. Comes with incredible bike towels, a thumb applicator, cleaner and the coating. Everything works beautifully together and leaves no streaks or evidence of install. Other than water beading off everything. I got a brand new Dogma F with Campagnolo groupset and wheels - and covered it with this kit before I rode it, then waited a week. I have put 1000 miles of road on it. Not so much as a surface scratch or water stain, ever. Great product.

I have a black matte Trek bike ( Emonda ) . This product works wonderful and protect the paint without change matte tone . I see the difference when I wash my bike . Buying a second one for my other bike

After applying this during the end of winter when I was doing maintenance on my bike, it's been easy to keep the bike clean for past few months I've ridden the bike. My route doesn't consist of too much muddy dirt road but it does have some bad parts. My route consists of paved , dirt and some sand and a large park With just a small bit it has helped a lot with cleaning the bike. The mud and dirt comes off a lot easier with a medium shower spray compared to before the application. I applied mainly with the micro fiber it came with and long stroked the frame where it allowed. I'm not sure if I over applied or not but I applied more on the microfiber when I thought I needed more. But I have a good amount left, less than half of the bottle. I have to say I didn't do the whole bike frame as this year I was a bit lazy and didn't remove the the pedals, pedal arms, and the sprockets. The areas I didn't apply the coating was noticeably different in that after rinsing off the bike, you have beading of water droplets vs was not beading at all. Over all a good experience with ceramic coating. Leaves a good shine and helps a lot with keeping the bike clean. It also should help protect the surface from chipping from foreign debris. This should last a while depending on how often you clean and wipe down the bike. If this can last at least a year, which I think I still have plenty enough, I suppose for the pricing it's a good investment. Anytime over that, is a great investment.
