Multi Guitar Effect Pedal Alpha Force 3 in 1 Effects Delay Chorus High Gain Distortion Pedal with Adapter

For the money, this pedal can't be beat. I was regularly using the MXR super badass and wanted to add a phaser and chorus pedal when I stumbled onto this combo. The distortion/gain this pedal provides sounds awesome and has replaced the MXR super badass. The chorus sounds great and is easy to set just right. The only thing I'm uncertain of is the delay, but that's because of the nature of delay vs phaser. The pro to this delay effect is I easily set it up to have more of an echo sound, which fills any voids. Overall this is a high value pedal with great distortion and chorus. Delay is, well, delay but can easily be turned into a usable effect. Highly recommend, especially for the frugal guitarist.

I was pleasantly surprised by this pedal combo. The fact that this is a 3-in-1 pedal is very handy, and given the effects that are on board, it is a kind of essential pedal board all in one unit. The combination of delay, chorus, and overdrive serve to give a wide variety of sounds. The chorus and delay effects are both clean and their setting allow for a lot of variation under those respective umbrellas. The overdrive can be set from gritty fuzz to harmonic-ringing crunch. It's a small package with plenty to offer. This is a great stand-alone unit for going in front of an amp. Its small footprint warrants simple inclusion on a pedal board.

Right to what I didn’t like: there is a sudden volume cut when you try lowering the volume of the delay. This is because of cheap pots. The same thing happens in guitars with cheap pots. I had the issue on a guitar and when I replaced the pots with better quality pots… only then could the volume be lowered to zero without a noticeable cut off. Then again… what do you expect for a small $50 pedalboard? They had to save money by utilizing cheaper pots. Other than that, the pedalboard is good. The gain is very powerful, the chorus is solid, and the delay is decent. The build quality from the outside is good, and thankfully it came with a power cable. The packaging was nice and sturdy. I was going to return it but decided to keep in case I buy a large amp for jamming with friends. It’ll come in handy for that. Donner products seem to be good for the most part. Solid value for what you pay. BTW this is not a modeler. It’s just a board with three effects. Meant to be used with an amp or a separate modeler on the clean channel.

I wish this thing was just a little bit larger since those knobs are small and really close together. It doesn't matter so much for the chorus, but for the delay when you are trying to get it "just right" to match a beat, it's really hard to dial in the precise delay time. The knobs are WAY smaller than the "normal" pedal knobs. The delay is basic, but it works. The chorus actually sounds pretty good if you crank the "level" knob all the way up. The distortion is terrible. It's just a hissy / noisy mess. I guess if you don't already have a delay / chorus or you just want those two things in one small piece item you can throw in your backpack, the price for this is fair even if you never use the distortion.

I am far more pleased with the Alpha Force 3 than I was expecting. The chorus and delays are very good, and have the standard controls that you would expect. The real winner for me in this pedal is the high gain. When I plugged this pedal into a clean amp and EQed it properly, the high gain sounded phenomenal. I was able to achieve some very metal/punk-ish tones out of it. The most fun I had with the pedal was with all 3 effects turned on. Definitely reminiscent of some 80's hard rock/metal tones. It ended up being incredibly fun and very useful pedal that I plan to use at band practices to reduce the amount of pedals that I take with me. It also came with a 9v adapter! Great job Donner!

This multi-effect pedal is OUTSTANDING! Excellent sounds/tones out of each effect, throughout any volume range. Compact, Smart looking, and it comes with it's own power supply. Perfect for gigs with the three effects I use most. I wish I had found this before I'd built a large pedal board. And the price was AMAZING given the quality of sounds/tones this sturdy little unit provides all day long.

This is a great little multi versatile guitar pedal. Great way to enhance your tone, without spending to much. Donner has some good pedals to try without going broke, if you don't happen to like it? Surprisingly good tones.

When I ordered my pedal, I was very excited. I was looking for a nice compact, put it in my case and go, type of pedal. When I saw the reviews and feedback I thought “3 in 1 ? For this price and with these kind of reviews? Hell yes!”. Then I got my pedal. It looked and felt awesome. Well then I plugged it in.. one of the knobs on the distortion was super scratchy when you turned it. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing. Then I clicked on the delay..nothing. Then I clicked on the chorus..nothing. 2 of the 3 effects didn’t even work. I played around with the knobs and settings and couldn’t get them to work. I packed it pack up and immediately returned it for a refund. Maybe I got a bad one (obviously) but I was immediately turned off to donner pedals. This was my own experience of course. But just wanted to put it out there. Hopefully you will get a fully functional pedal and your time with it will be positive. Be well everyone and happy new year.

Fantastic pedal. The chorus is excellent with a full range and depth. The Hi Gain circuit really rocks. Its powerful but clean and very useable playing live. I use the chorus sound for Police songs and the delay does a nice U2 sound. Its an analogue delay not digital so you can't dial in a specific number of repeats. Its one strong repeat then degrees of fading out depending on the feedback setting. But the think I most like to do with it is the setting in the photo. A hint of chorus and delay and as much high gain as you can handle. It makes any solo or riff sound great. Like a beefed up reverb. Total value for money and a better sound than I ever managed to get from various multi effect units. And really nicely made. My only (very) quibble would be the size of the knobs. Easy to use in times of peace but a too small for a quick change in battle.

Very cool looking, made out of metal and the overall construction is excellent. It is really small, which makes me love it even more as it is super easy to carry in my guitar bag. In general sounds slightly too metallic and artificial if set on too high values but it is enjoyable at medium and low ranges. The three effects can work independently or stacked together as if they were 3 independent pedals. In conclusion,it is ideal for rehearsal and for people like me playing different styles and genres as in a very compact and cheap device are included three fundamental effects but I would not recommend it in scenarios where a main specific sound is required: for example for a high-gain distortion for hard-rock/metal I would rather spend the same money for a second-hand dedicated distortion pedal.

I was excited to get this multi-effects pedal. I'm not a professional guitar player and I play both electric and acoustic guitar for the pleasure. I was very happy to be able to use it with both guitars. For example, I can use the Chorus effect with my acoustic guitar to add depth and character to my amplified signal, but I can also use all combined effects with my electric guitar. This small package offers a lot: the unit is small, versatile, easy to use, comes with its own included power supply (most of guitar pedal don't include it) and very well built and sturdy (all metal construction and solid stomp switches). For the price, you get three pedals for almost the price of one, it is very hard to beat. Since you have three effects in one, you can eliminate some patch cables and it is very easy to carry for a gig. The effects are very good and you can adjust them independently. The knobs are a little bit small but easy to turn because they added a rubber shell on them. Keep in mind that the Alpha Force 3 offers a Delay, a Chorus and Hi-Gain effect. The Hi-Gain effect is a very a heavy distortion suitable for metal music for example. Donner offers other multi-effects guitar pedals, if you want a more "british" distorsion (for rock music), you can check the Donner Alpha Cruncher 3 or if you are an acoustic player only, they offer the Donner Alpha Acoustic 3. These guitar pedals are very nice to discover and experiment new tones. I'm always impressed by Donner products, they are always of a great quality and hard to beat for the price. If you are like me and you want the best bang for the buck, this product is for you!

Tried this pedal out for use as a rehearsal, noodling about pedal. It's actually pretty impressive. The chorus and delay effects tend to be pretty low key at the bottom of their ranges, however they come to life pretty quickly with fairly standard but effective sounds. The delay cranks right up to weird if you want it. The Overdrive is well loud and goes from clean/crunch to extreme without loss of intensity, some pedals tend to compress the signal way too much at high gain. this doesn't and you want get a nice level in comparison to your clean sound. The body and build is robust enough for gigging although it would need putting on a board. Overall its a nice pedal for the price especially. You wont get much more versatility from separates in the same price range than this.
