I'm not able to record to the usb drive. when i press play/pause on the back, nothing happens. is it defective?

Apparently. Same happened to me, so I returned it.

No. This is to convert your cassettes to computerized files.

How do i record? Am i missing something? I followed the instructions and hit record on the backside. The light just remains solid
