All the videos I have seen show you using this device on yourself. Can you give the therapy to someone else? Any tips on how to do it?

Yes. I've used it on my babies for ear infections and on my family for headaches. You have to hold the machine and then touch the person with your hand against their skin to complete the grounding cycle.

Does this thing massage or shock?

There is definitely a shock but you determine intensity. I turn it up higher than my husband.

What is the purpose of the Conductive Bar?

It's placed on the skin to complete the circuit.
