Amazing for the field
This foam camping pad is easily the best lightweight, compact sleeping mat I’ve used in the past 7 years. It strikes a perfect balance between comfort and portability—easy to pack, super light to carry, and still provides great support for a good night’s sleep. It’s also held up extremely well through multiple field events in the Army, which really speaks to its durability. It’s quickly become my go-to for the field and any time I need a reliable sleeping setup.

Great compact insulated ground pad
Really like this foam pad. It felt more insulated than my air pad and my back was more thankful versus the air pad. It’s a bit more narrow than other versions but I valued the compact size. Works well to keep rocks and twigs from poking me in the back, easy to clean and set up is instant versus an air pad.

Work really, really well, and fold up small
These are super - very lightweight and compact. Whoever designed these was a good thinker. I use two of these to give me a bit extra cushion, although they do slip into each other... but that's ok. it gives me just a wee bit more extra that I need to stay comfortable. I can sleep on my wood floor with these, plus a blanket underneath them (and I'm in my 50s, so that's saying something about the comfort) (and my back, I suppose, too) ; ) These fold up very nicely, and have two big bands that keep them snug. I prefer these over any other thin camping pad by far. Nicer, dryer, (therefore warmer) and lighter. Great for camping, great for extra teens staying over at your house, too. I now own 4 of these. I've tried all sorts of camping pads, air mattresses, etc. These are my faves. By far.

easy to carry could be a little thicker
I took this camping over the weekend and brought it with me and our group. This mat was lightweight and folded up nicely. It could have been wider to accommodate larger people. I sleep on my sides and unfortunately, this causes pain in my hips and shoulders as there is not enough cushion to support when I woke up in the morning. It will be coming with me again but with additional support in the future!

Well recommended
Highly recommend. It's definitely more comfortable than the regular round foam circles like Walmart sells. I noticed the peanut shape retains more body heat. It is now one of my favorite mats to take to the field for sleeping outdoors. The color of it is great too, it meets military standards. ~I used it in the winter time in Colorado. Very convenient how it folds too, easy to put away

OH YEAH BABY
on my last hiking trip in the backcountry of sierra del chasko i snapped. I finally had it with the silver and yellow pad thats been with me for over 20 years. 20+ years of carrying something that subliminally tortured the back of my mind during adventures. just enough so that I never did anything about it for so long. enter this black beauty. my hopes were not high when I searched for it as ive never seen one before. not on the instagram, and definitely not on the trail in all my years. im not your typical dressing hiker rocking the 80's an 90's retro colors so believe me when I say I fell in love before I even clicked buy now. thank you for making dope colored gear for ninjas. 🥷

More comfortable than you'd think!
As a side sleeper, I was worried that this wouldn't be enough cushioning for my hips, but it was perfect. I was hiking The West Coast Trail, and didn't want to risk bringing an air mattress, in case it failed. This was the best decision I could have made. I'm always cold, and it really did reflect heat back to me. Also, while I was awake at camp, it made a perfect chair when it was folded up. Just a random side note, don't leave it around male cats who tend to chew on foam. 🤣 My little guy took a big chunk out of mine.

Simple, Lightweight, and Surprisingly Comfortable
If you're looking for a no-fuss, no-inflation-needed solution for camping or outdoor use, this foam pad is a solid pick. I took it on a recent backpacking trip and was impressed by how light and easy to carry it was. It folds up like an accordion, so it straps to the outside of a pack without taking up precious space. It’s not a luxury mattress by any means, but for foam, it's shockingly comfortable — enough cushion to keep you off the cold, uneven ground, and the ridged surface adds a little extra insulation. It’s also completely waterproof, which saved me after a surprise rain left my tent floor damp. Wiped it clean, no problem. I’ve since used it as a picnic mat, yoga pad, and even a crawl mat for my niece. It’s super versatile and tough enough for all kinds of use. If you’re into ultralight gear or just want a dependable backup pad for camping, the price-to-performance ratio here is hard to beat.

This foam mattress is ultra light and super easy to pack/fold back up.
This foam mattress isn’t your typically mattress. Its egg carton like profile (that also nest into each other for folding), provides just enough comfort, while reducing significant weight. In its folded size, it’s quite small, but it’s not ultra compact. It might also looks like there some good weight to it, but surprisingly, when I held it in my hands the first time, it really felt like nothing. It was so unbelievably light for its size. So, despite the mattress have a bit of bulk when folded up, it adds very little weight overall, making it very easy to carry all day long, with no added strain. The thickness of the foam is just a little over an 1”, and the egg carton profile of mattress provides decent support and comfort. With that said, this foam mattress is never going to be as supportive or as comfortable as an inflatable or even a thicker foam mattress, but that’s not its intended purpose. It’s meant to be ultra light for travel, while providing just enough comfort to not feel the bare ground. The egg carton profile allows it traps air for insulation, as well as create a thermal brake to minimize the transmission of cold or heat loss. Then the added reflective material/coating reflects heat back to you, to further minimize heat loss throughout the night. So, this thin and light foam mattress, handles all of that very well. For me, the mattress itself unfolded has a good length at about 75”, but I did find the width just a tad on the small size at only 20”, about my shoulder width. So, if like to move and roll around in your sleeping bag, then this might be a deal breaker for you. It’s still usable as is, but there is literally no space to roll on. The only other critique I have on this mattress is just the price. It’s bit on the expensive side and less than competitive with similar offerings from others. While it does live up to all it’s claims and is a great camping mattress overall, waiting for a sale, if you could, is probably the best time to pick this one up.

Lightweight and comfy
When you're out on a backpacking trip, every extra gram feels even heavier at the end of the day. While inflatable sleeping pads perform wonderfully, they also weigh a lot compared to this Fochier F pad (which comes in at roughly 346g / 12.2oz). Just for a point of reference, I've got an inflatable of approximately the same length and width that weighs 2.42KG (5.3LB), which makes it ideal for car camping, but untenable for carrying on your back all day. Given how thin it is, this pad is surprisingly comfortable, with the foam having a certain amount of “give” depending on how much weight is being applied. Not sure how much insulation value it provides, but it does keep you up and off the ground, which'll definitely help keep you warmer while sleeping. Bottom line – it's lightweight, relatively compact, comfortable and waterproof, which checks off four important criteria for backpacking gear.

Super light, can't be punctured, nice cushion and insulation.
This foam camping mat is one of the best I have seen or used. Most are a flat type foam that roll up, and in my opinion just keep you dry but don't offer much in the way of comfort. This mat is considerably thicker than others I have used and once laid out, the bubble design actually does a good job at providing some level of cushion and comfort. I personally will use this one with an lightweight air mattress, this one on the ground to protect the air mattress from punctures, and provide extra insulation and cushion. I pair them up laying them on my back yard grass and also the cement pad and I was impresses at how comfy they were together. This foam mattress by itself wasn't terrible and would work ok for backpacking, but in tandem, I am really looking forward to backpacking this summer and using these. I think anybody looking for a well made, quality, light weight camping pad, you should definitely consider this one. I am confident you will be happy with it.
