Sesame Street: Advent Calendar Storybook Collection

I got this calendar for my 1 year old granddaughter. Since we try to limit the amount of candy she gets, this book advent calendar was perfect. She loved being able to open a new one everyday and tried reading it by herself. The last page tells you how many days are left till Christmas. We saved them all and we plan on using it for next year too. A great little investment.

We were thrilled when we discovered this Advent calendar, which was released earlier this year. We're a family with three generations of Sesame Street fans, including a pre-school generation just discovering the array of Muppets and Sesame Street media and toys. We like the overall themes that are educational but infused with fun and we really love the kind-hearted spirits of this whole family of characters. Each year, we have a line up of new Advent calendars to open each morning (and evening). It has become a favorite part of the anticipation of Christmas. We have had little-storybook Advent calendars before. If you're shopping for this format, check out the various Disney options Amazon sells. There's also a wonderful storybook Advent calendar that divides up all the short sections of the Bible's Nativity story into little books. That calendar has been around for many years and we've actually reused that one sometimes over the years. Amazon sells that one, too. The favorite one I'm referring to here is called The Story of Christmas by Carolyn Crall, published by Workman. If you look at the third photo at the top of this product page, you can see all the covers of these 24 books. We really like the wide range of themes and the fun that we'll have opening and reading each one. We're highly recommending this to other families.

Really great quality. My little and I love it!

This is a great product. We kept it hidden and just brought it out today but are pleased thus far. There is a misprint on ours which is a bit disappointing as we got 2 day 5s instead of a day 2, however our kiddo is young enough that I don't think it will impact their enjoyment. The books themselves are fairly small but fitting for their purpose. The calendar is decorated well and attractively. My kiddo spent quite a bit of time analyzing the box to find all the characters they love from Sesame Street. They are age appropriate for our 2.5 year old.

We loved this for Christmas and you can wrap the books back up and reuse it! I’ll be using it again next year because she’s too little to remember.

This was a great buy! My 19mo absolutely loved it! The calendar itself is as big as my kid and the books are mini sized (see pictures). There’s cute stories, classic Christmas stories adapted to include our favorite furry characters, and activity books. Each book comes in a sleeve and if you are careful with the books/sleeves and put them back after reading them you could reuse it for multiple years! I included an example picture of how I tucked them back in after we opened that day. We did reread a few books each day but I would tuck them back in so we didn’t mix them up. I highly recommend buying it!
