Fabulous reference for diabetics!
This is a fantastic book. I read it from cover to cover and it now rests between my 2 other go-to reference texts about diabetes; Bernstein's "Diabetes Solution" and Jenny Ruhl's "Blood Sugar 101". These 3 books, together, provide all the ammunition I need to keep my blood sugars under control, limit or even avoid diabetic complications and inspire me to work through and rise above the setbacks along the way. There are tips and hints about improving communications with your doctor, lots of simple strategies for carb counting. and oodles of troubleshooting ideas. It has been written for laymen, so most of the medical jargon has been dialed out. The book addresses both Type 1 and Type II diabetes and all age groups to make diabetes management for everyone a breeze. This book is a must-have for any diabetic - to be referenced again and again as needed. You'll be glad you have it in your arsenal.

More information than my Dr. gave me - - -
I don't have Diabetes "yet". I am pre diabetes and bought this book with the hopes to correct things before they get worse. I knew nothing about diabetes before and this book is so full of good information that I can understand. You could google different things but this has it all in one handy easy to read book that you can refer back to. I have learned the art of counting carbs and how to divide up my meals, and how many carbs I should be eating a day. Honestly, way more info than my Dr. gave me for sure. Great book and I recommend it to everyone.

It Repeats the ADA and not in a simple way. There is some good information but biased
Same old rhetoric of the medical model which just is not working. The ADA does not work for certain. You must cut the carbs and eliminate potatoes, bread and pasta. The package came well wrapped and on time. The book was clean and in good condition.

Interesting and informative book it appears but not what I was hoping to receive.
expecting to receive a book that included charts with calorie and carb counts. I wanted it for meal planning. That said, the book appears to be informative and I expect I shall learn from it.

What a fantastic book. I have been type 1 diabetic for 32 years and the changes can be overwhelming for someone my age. This book tells it all in detail but in a way I can cope with. I am finding it very useful but also very informative. Well worth the money.

This book was not as simplified as some of the other '' Dummy'' books. I find it quite daunting to read and understand. which is very unusual for me. Not what I had expected. Delivery was spot on.
