Why did you pick this product vs others?: I been using this product for 15 years as a leave in and a daily moisturizer with rose water. They never changed the ingredients in me! Love this size and pump. Pump allows me to apply same amount ever time. It give ease, no drop bottle or squeezing. This amount last me about more than half the year. Scent is light and enjoyable. It does not linger. It very good for detangling and moisture. Does not lead to product build up, if you are washing the hair once a week.

I had a sample of this for a while and finally decided to try it. I wish I hadn't waited so long, this stuff is wonderful. I love the caramel sugary fragrance, it is sweet smelling (to me anyway). In my hair the fragrance does linger for a few days. It's very light (great for fine/thin hair), but still very moisturizing. I have ethnic hair, plus it's fine now so it doesn't like heavy products. I've used this right after cleansing because my hair has a low porosity, it's really hard to get moisture into my strands, this stuff really works great. It leaves no residue or builds up on my hair, of course sometimes I also use this product after oil like in the LOC method. It's great as a leave-in. I also (sometimes) use it daily in a week, but since I only have the 8 oz. bottle and a lot of hair to do that's not cost effective for my family. This does not have any type of hold, it's main use is for moisture not as a styler. This company does sell a product that's supposed to work great with this (as a styler) but if haven't tried it yet. I will order again, however in the largest bottle they offer.

This hair lotion is light, absorbent, hydrating, and sweet smelling. I love it’s silky texture. It pairs very well with the Oyin Burnt Pomade if you’d like more sealant and hold. If you prefer a quick wash and go, it will also work for the day! But it has no humectant properties, it needs to be paired with a humectant if you want the moisture to stay. I like it exactly for that reason. I want my moisture to moisturize and my humectant to seal. Products that try to be both give me acne around my hairline. Finally, I don’t have to choose between good hair and good skin! This is the only moisturizing lotion that just ABSORBS into my hair. I also love that this line is owned by a Baltimore-based Black family.

Hey! So I learned about this product through much research into trying to find a good leave in conditioner for Low Po hair, I came across somebody talking about the Oyin Hair Dew Lotion. So I was extremely interested and ended up buying it! So heres my experience with it, Ive used it a couple of times already for my LCO method. Smell: It smells like marshmallows to be honest. It’s a sweet smell, and I really like it. Consistency: It has a lotion like consistency, same as any hand lotion or body lotion you buy at a store, very creamy! Hydration: It’s not extremely hydrating unfortunately... When you first moisturize your hair, it feels nice and saturated and it smells so good...but after a few days your hair is bone dry and tangled. And I didn’t like that feeling, I realize that this moisturizer just doesn’t have enough “hold” to it. It cant last you very long, unfortunately, and I spent $13 on this. I get a better moisturizer out of $2 aloe vera from an aloe vera leaf. I won’t be buying this again... and when I went to the reviews and looked at the one stars people also had issues with this product being drying. So I wasnt just crazy after all. One thing I’d like to suggest is that they make this product available with a pump instead of the current nozzle. Sometimes its hard to squeeze the products out! 😭 but other than that, it’s a really solid hair lotion. And honestly, would I buy it again? Heck no, they literally rose the price 🤣 once I run out Im buying a new leave in from another company. But regardless! I reccomend!

This has been my staple hair product for years now. I have 3a/b curls that require lots of moisture but are prone to build-up with heavier, protein-based products. At the same time, the lighter, liquid based stuff doesn't provide the level of hold that I want, and I generally don't like gels. This stuff is awesome because it's nice and creamy without loading down my curls. I apply it pretty liberally as a leave-in conditioner and hardly have to touch up my hair until my next wash. It's basically the only product I apply now (apart from a shampoo that I'll use every couple of washes)... Of course it still takes a while to wash my hair, but I do love having a simpler routine for once. It's fantastic for detangling, and consistently leaves my hair soft, shiny, and extremely well-defined. Smells good, too. It's one of the products that's helped repair damage to my curls and transform them to a healthier state than ever. I really have nothing bad to say!

I have enjoyed using this product daily on my toddler’s hair. My husband also likes the product and uses it often. Typically, it arrives with an outer plastic seal. However, my last order and its replacement both had broken outer seals and lifted inner seals indicating tampering. This is disappointing as I now feel inclined to find an alternative product.

I have been using this leave in consistently for the past few weeks and I am in love!! I have very long 2b ish hair that struggles with being dry at the ends. I've tried oils, deep conditioners, serums, etc, but nothing has been comparable to this product. I use about a quarter sized amount on damp hair after shampooing and conditioning. Adds shine, moisture, and actually seems to penetrate and give lasting results until my next wash (about 3 days). Can be greasy if you use too much. A little goes a long way! Try it if you feel like your hair struggles with moisture retention.

I’ve been buying Oyin’s products for about 15+ years now. The Hair Dew has always been my favorite product. It moisturizes my hair without it feeling weighed down or greasy. No matter what else I’ve tried, I always come back to it. This is also great for people like me whose hair doesn’t respond well to products that have glycerin in them. I don’t really use hair-typing, but if it helps anyone, I have 3c curls, but I’ve also used it on my daughter’s hair who has 4a hair.

I love this product, it smells amazing and takes great care of my curly hair when used as a leave in conditioner after washing (and before gel). The price is very steep, but I can justify the expense, as a little bit goes a long way (my last bottle is still going a year later).

By far, this is the best leave in hair conditionner for high porosity hair!!!!
