Corkcicle Coffee Mug - Triple-Insulated Stainless Steel Cup with Handle, 16 oz, Dragonfly

Firstly what can i say. I bought this from Amazon.com and it came within 7 days of purchase. I absolutely love the colour. I chose Dragonfly and its even more beautiful in person than in the pictures on the internet. Firstly the mug is a lovely size, the lid fits as it should, i have not tried it to see if its leak proof but for keeping my drinks hot i can honestly say after 6 hours i still have a really hot drink. I love all there choice of colours, Corkcicle are a really good make and you cant go wrong with this cup. One day I will see if it is leak proof but i bought this to keep my coffee hot at home and also when out camping and even though i remove the lid to drink my coffee the lid is fairly tight and its a pleasure to drink from such an elegant and beautifully made mug. I will be buying more.

This cup is cute! I love the mermaid colors. It keeps my coffee warm for at least 3 hours.

Keeps my tea hot for several hours which is great! The color is very bright which is really fun. It’s got a matte finish so even wet it won’t slip out of your hands! I especially like the sliding opening as it makes it easy to take a sip and close it back up.

I've been pleased with the insulating properties of this mug and appreciate that it keeps drinks hot longer. I have a note of caution, however, regarding the lid. After using the mug without it for a year or so, I used the lid to bring it along away from home. I immediately noticed a chemical odor and flavor to my usual herb tea. Wanting to double check the source of the issue, I later washed the mug and lid thoroughly, filled it with boiling water alone and let it sit on the counter for a few minutes. The chemical odor/flavor was again immediately obvious. There had been no issue previously using the mug by itself. Common sense dictates that if you can taste and smell something, it's in the beverage and going in your body, so I disposed of the lid and will use the otherwise high quality mug as I had been, sans lid. It's well known that older plastic food and beverage products were known to off-gas compounds, but I had assumed this was no longer any issue with modern materials. Not so. Caveat emptor...
