I have a monolid, a tendency to sweat excessively from my face and head, and small, straight eyelashes that without a shu uemara eyelash curler and black waterproof mascara, my eyelashes are not very visible. Despite the waterproof mascara and careful curling, I will always end up with smudges under my eyes from my mascara gradually dusting/flaking off. This product has put that to an end. I do my eye makeup like normal, except I do only one or at most two coats of mascara (before I would usually do two or more to plump them up). Then I try to give it some time to dry before using the fixer. I am a bit more detailed in my application to break up any clumps in my usual mascara, avoid creating any new ones with the fixer, and make sure to coat all my lashes thinly and evenly. Extra fixer product causes annoyances later as when it dries, it's their to stay. It is difficult to take off. Eye makeup remover, cotton pads or balls, and gentle patience is a must, but I feel that it's a fair trade for a day of wonderfully fanned eyelashes and smudgefree eyes. Between my NYX liquid liner, whatever drugstore waterproof mascara I'm currently using, and this wonderful stuff, my eyemakeup stays cleanly put through tears, sweat, humidity, and other no cosmetic friendly elements. I wouldn't be surprised if you could swim with this, but I have never tried. A few notes: I put it on after my mascara. Some people do it the other way around, but I can't speak to those results personally. I will say that since I put it on after mascara, it does pick up the pigment even after letting it dry and turns grey/black (I only ever use black mascara). I have used it on its own before, just curling my eyelashes and applying it to clean lashes. It was great for a while, but eventually the product seems to almost accumulate or cake ever so slightly in a clear or neutral color that's a bit odd. Could be I just need to experiment with using less. Anyway, I will be using this forever, and will never wear mascara without it again! Highly recommend for monolids and high risk raccoon eyes mascara wearers!

I’m not sure how smudge proof this is on its own because, at least for me, it would still smudge if I put waterproof mascara on top, it will not smudge if I wait for the mascara to dry and put a coat of clear waterproof mascara over it. But a word of advice for those getting super clumpy lashes is to spend more time curling and brushing your lashes out and to also make sure to take excess off the primer applicator by wiping it off the rim. Then just go in with the primer, wait for it to dry for a little bit (I just wait long enough to curl, brush, and prime my other eye) and then apply mascara (make sure to also wipe the excess on the rim if you do use mascaras with brushes that are meant to make your lashes more voluminous like the lash paradise from L’Oreal or the falsies from maybelline) I personally use the waterproof telescopic mascara just to form a base layer and then if I feel like I want a more dramatic lash I’ll go in with a volumizing mascara like the falsies. I then wait for roughly 2 minutes (in this time I apply my lip products or put brow mascara on) and apply a clear coat on top just because I have a hard time with smudges. This primer kept my lashes lifted all day even though buckets of sweat from being outside in the Cali heat. Works great for my Asian monolids and I was able to remove the primer with my Amazon brand eye makeup remover and some ponds cold cream just for some extra measure. I do also deep cleanse with an oil so that might also be a part of it but I get almost all, if not all, of my mascara and primer off with just those two products. I found that holding a cotton round to my eye for a few minutes and then GENTLY wiping it is the most effective and least damaging way to remove it from your skin (please be wary of makeup wipes) and then I go in with my ponds cold cream to get rid of anything else (if you want a cleansing balm like the Clinique one I really recommend the ponds cleansing balm to help remove makeup, it’s my holy grail!) I would definitely recommend this product but just be careful and take good care of your lashes as these products may not be the best for them. But in terms of performance, this primer is definitely a must, especially if you have hooded eyes or monolids!

I have been using this mascara fixer and it does a solid job keeping my lashes looking good all day. After I put on mascara, I swipe this over my lashes, and it helps hold the curl without making them feel stiff or crunchy. It also stops my mascara from smudging or flaking, which is a big win for me. The brush is small and easy to use, so I can get right to the roots and tips without messing up my mascara. It dries pretty fast too, so I don’t have to wait around before doing the rest of my makeup. I like that it is clear, so it works with any mascara color or style. One thing I noticed is that it does not add volume or length on its own, but that is not what it is supposed to do anyway. it’s just a fixer to keep your mascara in place. Also, the tube is small, but you only need a little each time. Overall, this is a nice little product if you want your mascara to stay put and your lashes to keep their curl without feeling crunchy. It’s simple, effective, and a nice step to add to my makeup routine.

As the title suggests, I bought this because I ran out of my wonderful Ulta Raincoat Mascara and was looking for an affordable dupe. I have long, healthy lashes but they’re very straight and often resist holding a curl. I’ve tried SO many waterproof mascaras over the years and just haven’t been happy with their curling capabilities. I’m happy to say that this Mascara Fixer has been a perfect replacement and is now a staple for me! It’s easy to apply, holds curl beautifully, is very waterproof, and is slightly lengthening. One thing to note is that it leaves a small amount of white cast on the lashes, which makes wearing it alone really... strange. I personally don’t mind the white cast because I layer colored mascara over it and it helps bring out the vibrancy of the pigments. I have also tried using it on top of mascaras but this never yielded good results for me. For removal, since this is a heavy duty waterproof mascara, I would not recommend using just a plain oil nor a cold cream. It just won’t be strong enough to fully remove this and you may damage and loose lashes trying to get it all off. Instead, I’d opt for a dedicated oil cleaner like the Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil, which I personally use and it works wonderfully. I’ve seen a few reviewers stating concern about the amount in the tube being minimal; I can’t personally comment on this because I don’t apply mascara daily, but I’ve used this quite a few times since purchasing and I seem to still have a lot of product remaining. All in all, I think this is a great mascara. It does what it’s advertised to do and does it well without charging you an arm and a leg. NOTE: I am Asian and I have the typical short, stubby, hard to curl lashes. Mine do not respond well to many lashes, and because of the eye fat on my eyes, many mascaras tend to droop down by the end of the day. I have tried looking for mascara bases to help with this. I found this one upon a recommendation from an Asian youtuber. - This is better than the PMEL essence mascara base. That one's gel comes out to white and clumpy that it ruins the lashes completely with whatever you put on top. This mascara base is really good, but ONLY WITH CERTAIN TYPES OF MASCARA!! My tried and true is the Heroine Make long & curl mascara and that one is the ONLY mascara that can uphold my lashes throughout the entire day. However, when I use this base with it, it comes out extremely clumpy. I've tried it the voluminous Lash Paradise and it comes out the same way. IF YOU INTEND TO USE THIS, use it with only 'natural' looking mascaras. I have the Glossier Lash Slick, which is considered a more light weight mascara, and using it with this base makes that mascara last WAY longer than it usually does and helps retain the curl. I also have the innisfree skinny waterproof mascara, which works better with this base. This base really only works if you have a mascara formula that is less volume, and more length. - Very little product comes in the actual tube. When I first received it, I was surprised by how much I could squeeze the tube. Felt very airy. There is very little product in here, and I'm almost done with it, considering I've used it only about 15 times. Which is not a lot AT ALL. TLDR: Works better with lengthening mascaras. Very little product comes in it. However, does retain the curl much longer. Good, would probably buy again, until I find a better one worth the money.

I've basically been in a limbo since they discontinued the SheLaq serum, and I was at my wit's end knowing that by 2-3pm I'd have dumb smudges under my eyes. I got fed up and tried different stuff: Makeup Forever Aqua Seal (kinda works), elf Make up Lock & Coated (doesn't work), NYX Top Coat (waste of money), Tonymoly Double Needs Super Fix Mascara (works! but runs out very quickly). I could't bring myself to spend nearly $30 on the Bare Minerals Locked & Coated that everyone recommended, so I got this, and it works! It works, it works, it works!!!!!! My daily stress level is cut in half because I don't have to look in the damn mirror and curse the universe that my eyes smudged. I've been using the first tube I got for just about three months now, and it still works fine. Out of all the ones I've tried, it's actually also the easiest to apply. You can't really clean the brush after each use, so the gel has gotten black over time from all the mascara bits, but that actually seems to make it even easier to use, because the gel goes on black, so the mascara stays more intact than in the beginning. I'll probably move on to the second tube in a few days, so you can pretty much swap this out as frequently as you do a tube of mascara (every 2-3 months). It is really hard to get off- I usually don't get it completely off until the morning after when I wash my face after waking up. For me it's well worth it for cutting down on the daily stress of turning into a hot mess by 2pm.

Last year I got an eyelash perm which was great for my super straight lashes. What I wasn’t a fan of was about a month after the perm some of my lashes were still curled and others straight, so when I used my eyelash curler the curled lashes became super curled and ended up curling into my eyelid. I’ve been looking for something that would finally make my eyelashes hold a curl. Before finding this product I could curl my lashes for a minute or more, apply mascara (even waterproof) and they would almost immediately fall flat. Been using this daily for a month and it is incredible!!! It does make my lashes a tiny bit more clumpy but totally worth it! It takes a little work to remove mascara now, I was using micellar water but I find that Vaseline does the trick far easier. I love that I get the permed effect during the day and a fresh start each morning so I don’t get those wonky lashes. Some reviews mention there being little product in the tube, which is true. However, I’ve been using this daily for a month and I’m not running out yet and for the price it’s not a huge deal! I’m SO happy I found this!!! My first pic is without using this product and the second is after a day at work with the primer and the same mascara.

For the extra effort it takes to put this on before AND after mascara, this didn’t do much for me. I got this specifically and only to prevent my mascara from transferring below and above my eyes. Currently I have to constantly check my makeup all day long and rub smears and flakes off of my face multiple times daily and my dream is to not have to look into a mirror for hours at a time and not worry about looking like a weirdo raccoon-human hybrid Unfortunately, this didn’t make my dreams come true. I still have smudges under my eyes and transfer on my brow bone where my lashes hit. Maybe a tad less, but to me, a very slight (and possibly nonexistent) improvement isn’t worth the money, time or effort. Sigh. My search continues for a mascara sealant that locks it all down for the long haul.

Dieses Produkt ist unfassbar genial ! Ich habe asiatische kurze Wimpern, die nach unten wachsen. Bisher hat keine Wimpernzange, keine Wimperntusche, konnte meine Wimpern oben halten. Ich habe sonst Schwierigkeiten, dass man meine Wimpern überhaupt sehen kann. Durch dieses Produkt bleiben meine Wimpern den ganzen Tag oben und haben einen sehr schönen Schwung. Mit diesem Produkt kann ich auch jede Wimperntusche benutzen, die ich will. Ich habe vorher so viel Geld für verschiedene Wimperntuschen ausgegeben und bin froh, dass es vorbei ist. Der Trick ist auch das Produkt erst trocknen zu lassen und dann die Wimpern zu tuschen. Probiert es ruhig aus, es ist das Geld auf jeden Fall wert! Und benutzt danach make up Entferner mit Öl, dann kriegt ihr es später besser von den Wimpern ab.

Love love love this product! It makes my mascara last all day, it helps my straight Asian lashes hold curl and waterproofs the heck outta them! This is an awesome product as I can use it alone after curling my lashes for a natural look and it doesn’t come off like a white residue on my lashes as it drys completely clear, and when worn under mascara it’s like it’s not even there. The only struggle is that when using this product it does it is a little difficult to take off both when worn alone and under a regular mascara. That’s really my only complaint but I recently stumbled upon the Heroin Mascara remover here on amazon that acts as a mascara melt and so far that’s really the only product I’ve found that fully removes the product off my eyes. All in all aside from being difficult to remove the Dr.Mascara Fixer is amazing and I would highly recommend it to other, I will be buying this product again once I run out.

Just received. Totally empty tube.. there's a very little amount of the fluid which I could realized after squeezing the whole tube. waste of money.. please don't buy it.
