Sometimes these fail, but customer service is great
I have 2 installed so far. One failed after a while (I forget how long) but I was sent a no-questions-asked replacement! So, 10/10 for great customer support and service. The 2nd unit later stopped working as well. I played around with a few power supply setups and found that it would not light up when plugged in via a DC extension cable. I now see that as of November 2023, they have upgraded the power supply from 12VDC to 24VDC, as that appears to have been a common problem.Sadly, my units are all pre-November. In this instance, I used an AC extension cord to bring the PSU to within reach of the standard, attached power cord, and that unit is now working again.Unfortunately, the replacement unit that was sent to replace the first failed unit is now emitting a buzzing sound (and is running quite hot, I notice) - I don't know if this is an early indicator of failure.Perhaps I can reach out to the customer service team and see if they will send me 24V PSUs, as that seems to be a key improvement.I note that they say "850nm lamp is semi-covert and NOT 100% invisible, it gives red glow which is invisible when more than 5 feet away from the light." - I can certainly see the LEDs from way more than 5ft away (clear across my driveway - at least 30-40' from inside my house) but the driveway itself is not "glowing" - so perhaps they mean no *radiated* light is visible, but the individual LEDs are certainly visible from far away, so not as covert as claimed, if this is critical to your application. For my use, I don't mind that people can see that they're being observed when on my property :) Heck, by the time they're in my driveway, having opened a gate to get there, they'd better have a good reason to be there! Finally, as for performance; 2 units light up my backyard and driveway very effectively, to provide good IR illumination for my Unifi camera. I had to disable the Unifi's built-in IR, because it caused a lot of false motion alerts due to bugs (that are clearly attracted to IR) showing up as very bright objects flitting in front of the lens. By placing the Tendelux unit just a few centimetres (yes, I speak both measurements :)) away from the camera, I no longer have that issue at all. The bugs may still be there, but they don't show up on the camera. It's fun to watch skunk, racoon, possum & neighbourhood cats wandering around my garden at night :) It's also reassuring that my property is well illuminated for the camera, without poisoning the night sky with more visible spectrum light (not to mention the power saving of having to run a bunch of outdoor lights all night.)I will probably buy more of these (maybe try a long-range model as well) as I add cameras. Right now, I just don't have a good way to get power to the other camera (it is self-powered over ethernet) location, so I have to rely on it having not so great illumination.Update 2024-03-04: upping to 5 stars because of stellar service. One of my power bricks was buzzing/whining; support jumped on it quickly, and sent a whole new light with the newly updated 24V power brick. Buzzing solved! Thanks for really standing by your product!

A medium power light that shines well, But...
UPDATED AGAIN -- I got a full replacement item from Tendeluxe and all I needed was the newer 24VDC power supply. I went in the attic and replaced the power supply and the light is fully back in service. Now I have a spare light in case that is ever needed, greateful for the extra mile in service/support -- Thank You Tendelux!UPDATED -- It has been installed for just under 15 months. It has worked VERY WELL and its IR light power is great. But I now observe it at night by watching the IR lighted area from a camera that the IR light has failed and sporadically flashes just enough that it looks like it is trying to work but will not. The flashes I see remind me of a flash from a photo camera but the flashes come irregularly, sometimes brightly and sometimes very dimly but always in very short in duration. Sometimes it flashes approx each 5 seconds or 15 seconds. I have requested warranty support. Whether it is a power supply or the light itself, something needs replacement. After a very responsive email with customer support, they thought it was the older power supply and he would immediately send me a replacement. I thought he was just sending a newer 24Vdc power supply and I end up getting a complete new replacement! As I had said - it shines great - lights up a very large part of my backyard and deck like daylight (when seen from a nighttime IR camera of course). My neighbor also got one I can see his yard from my cameras also. These things really extend the light range of typical cameras a lot. I bumped up my rating since I like the product and the support is without question.

Well made and packaged
Works as stated, wish I had ordered a long range though. The field of light and intensity seems smaller and weaker than what I was hoping it would be.

Absolutely Amazing Customer Service!
I bought one of these under 2 years ago, and it failed after a few months of use. The power supply got extremely hot before failing. I confirmed it was the power supply by using a third-party one, which worked but flashed due to insufficient power. I contacted the company via the QR code on the device and received a response within 12 hours - already impressive! They were extremely kind, apologetic, and did everything to make up for the inconvenience. They only requested a photo of the power supply and my mailing address. After providing this, they immediately sent a replacement which arrived within two days; not just a power supply I might add, but the whole device - even more impressive! The new power supply is much better and no longer overheats. I’m highly impressed with this company’s customer care and highly recommend their products. The IR lights are very bright, significantly improving my camera feed quality, with great range and a reasonable price for how well built the product is. I will be purchasing more in the future and genuinely hope you do too!

Lights up the entire back yard.
I have a few of these. Look out the back window and it is pitch black. Look at the back yard on the camera and it is like day time. This evenly illuminates the entire area.

Lights up area like a flash light! BUT BEWARE, IT IS SUPER HOT!
I have this setup in my garage for night time IR viewing. It definitely works and easily lights up a whole two car garage! May be too bright if anything so may have to install it at an angle to reduce any possible glares. Initially I had this installed on a smart plug since the light sensor is on the back and I had it sitting against the wall on top of something 5ft off the ground. It needs at least an inch or more space away from the back for the photocell to be able to activate and pick up any light to shut off.MY PROBLEM with this is that after an hour or two of it being on in the dark. I went to pick up the device and it is PIPING HOT! like almost close to a boiling pot type hot. I was not able to handle it for more than several seconds before tossing it like a hot potato. I think this is ideal for outdoor mounted with the provided mount where there is cool air flow constantly cooling the device's cooling fins all night. I cannot see this thing lasting a long time with the amount of HOT heat it puts out all around! It will probably die quickly if your ambient temperature is also hot at night in my opinion.I think I will keep this and try it in different spots since it does light up really well for the camera to see at night. Literally a night and day difference. We will see how long this thing lasts though if it is on 12+ hours a night for everyday. I just hope I am wrong and this thing lasts a long time for the price!

Disappointing Durability and Performance
I recently purchased and tested the Tendelux DI10 IR Illuminator, and unfortunately, my experience did not match the advertised claims. I had high hopes for this product, but it fell short in both durability and performance, leaving me less than satisfied with my purchase.First and foremost, the main issue I encountered with the Tendelux DI10 IR Illuminator was its durability. The product was marketed as being suitable for outdoor use, boasting a robust design that should withstand the elements. However, after a mere 8 months of outdoor use, it ceased to function entirely. This short lifespan was certainly not what I expected, especially considering its supposed resilience. In addition to its disappointing durability, the product's performance also left something to be desired. While it initially worked reasonably well, I noticed a decline in its efficiency as time went on. The performance degradation seemed to correlate with its exposure to various weather conditions, which should not have been the case given its supposed outdoor capabilities.Another aspect that caught my attention was the product's failure to live up to its advertised features. Certain functionalities mentioned in the product description did not work as seamlessly as claimed. This led to a sense of frustration and disappointment as I had expected better performance based on the promises made by the manufacturer.Despite these shortcomings, I will acknowledge that the Tendelux DI10 IR Illuminator did have some positive aspects. When it was in proper working condition, it delivered satisfactory results and showed potential. However, these positives were overshadowed by its premature failure and lackluster performance over time.In conclusion, I cannot fully endorse the Tendelux DI10 IR Illuminator based on my experience. The advertised durability and outdoor suitability did not hold up, as it stopped working after only 8 months of use outdoors. While it showed promise initially, its performance gradually declined, further adding to my disappointment. I would advise potential buyers to proceed with caution and consider other options with better track records in terms of durability and reliability.

Usually good, but now only flashes once every second.
I have a few of these and they work well. My oldest tendelux is about 2 years old. This one lasted 8 months. I have tried unplugging and changed outlets...not working.

A Beast
This light is a beast. UK customer here. I use Reolink dome cameras and they suffer a bit from internal reflection from the built in IR and Obv spider webs I put this light about 50cm below the camera turned off the built in IR and waaaay we go. Imagine one of those old skool 150w halogen lamps this light is like that but Infra Red with only minimal spillover into the visible spectrum.

Awesome
It works really good in my garage

Will need another power supply
Works as expected but the power supply fails in less than a year. Don’t toss the light, just buy another power supply with the same voltage.

Turns night into day
Had some blind spots at night this quickly resolved the issue! Bought the DI20 for another location a fay later

The good: well built solid casing. The bad: As you can see it's more of a spot light.
This illuminator adds light to my Dahua 2.8mm eyeball / turret security camera. The issue is that the light projects a band or strip of light as opposed to flooding the area as described by distance coverage area. I would go up to a larger format 120° vs this 90° illuminator for something like a driveway or backyard. This would suffice for the front door or similar smaller enclosed area but not the coverage or distance as described here. P.S. unit gets very hot ok for cool ambient temperature but wonder about longevity come hot ambient summer temps.
