Yale Assure Lock - Touchscreen Keypad Door Lock in Brass

I bought this lock to allow entry by relatives without a key. Installation was straightforward, taking about 15 - 20 minutes, following the clear and concise instructions. The housing mates well to the door, and the lock is attached through the existing lock mortise. (Instructions are included if you don't have a mortise in your door. However, you will need a drill and you should have a mortiss alignment and drilling jig, specifically designed for doors, if you are starting without a hole in your door.) Programming multiple combinations into the lock is simple. I bought the version with a keyhole, which came with two keys, to safeguard against locking myself out if the batteries go dead. In operation, the lock is smooth and flawless. From the inside, a conventional lever operates the dead bolt. From the outside, one activates the lock by placing a hand over the electronic keypad, then entering a code to activate the mechanism. On exit, one places a hand over the keypad and the deadbolt is inserted. The manual and electronic operations do not conflict. A nice piece of hardware, well designed and executed.

This is my first electric lock. I've been looking for months before buying this one. Other brands might be as good but this model had everything we wanted - key, smooth surface and Z connectivity. It went in perfectly (there was an existing dead bolt) and it works flawlessly. We'll be buying more - they are a bit pricey but so far it seems well worth the cost.

If you like replacing batteries, this is the lock for you. Batteries last a week to two weeks. No way in the app to see battery levels until you get the notice to immediately replace them.Otherwise, great lock, like that we can share and revoke access in the app and remotely unlock the door.

This is a great lock. Works well and easy to install. I like that I can put the old lock cylinder in it so that it is keyed the same as all of my other locks. I have recommended this lock to all my friends and family.

Stopped working, despite trying everything, including reinstalling, unlike 2 other Yale locks, on other doors, that still work just fine.

The reason why I purchased this particular lock was because it has a keyway. If for some reason the battery dies or if there is a mechanical failure, I can simply use the provided keys. The keypad is very responsive contrary to other reviewers. I use the back of my hands to wake the keypad up and type in my pin code and it quickly unlocks. To lock, just tap the keypad. I paired this lock with a Yale door lever in polished brass which compliments my lock. All in all, I am satisfied with this product!

I installed it my self 2 month ago and it has not failed. I like that I've set codes for other family members to get in and can erase/change them for new ones so there is no same code per person. I don't have the WiFi feature but planning to upgrade soon. Great product.

I ordered two locks for two different doors at home. One lock worked fine, but the second one would not "hand" correctly. I tried the second lock on the other door and it still would not work correctly, so it wasn't a problem with the doors. In all fairness to Yale support, they really tried to help. But I ended up having to send the defective lock back to Amazon for a replacement.The replacement lock arrived today, but it was in a battered box with one side cut open and the contents in disarray. What the heck? The lock parts themselves looked new and undamaged and nothing was missing. So I took a chance and installed them and everything is currently working okay.If the original second lock hadn't been defective, I would have given this product five stars. I consider three stars to be generous considering the overall experience. This review would have only been two stars if it wasn't for the extra effort of the Yale support personnel I dealt with. Now we'll see how long these locks actually last. Here's hoping.
