Scholastic Success with Writing Grade 1 Workbook

I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a 'summer slide?' I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

Love this activity book. When teachers are out unexpectedly at our school and don't have subplans, I run copies from this book for the substitute. Some of the prompts are appropriate for other grade levels as well. The kids enjoy the activities. I like that there is a variety of writing prompts. Some of them are fill in the blank with pictures, others allow for a lot more writing. It's great.

I like it

Its a great books but it is too short. I wanted it to last the school year and my son was done with it by 3 months of use.

This book is very easy to understand and also very interactive for the kids love it. Only note is that I wish this book had some more pages so kids could practice more. I’m here to buy another one for grade 2.

Perfect for my granddaughter

My kid is a D level reader and she is able to do these exercises with a little bit of help. Everything adds up, little by little strengthening her new acquired abilities.

I wish it had more activity pages on the whole (pucntuation and the different types of punctuation marks). I wish it had more pages that used more kinaesthetic skills other than colouring. There is no mention of using pronouns, linking verbs, or present, past, and future tense verbs.

Esta manía que tiene el vendedor de poner pocas fotos de su producto nos lleva al error de comprar con altas expectativas. Casi todos los ejercicios son muy similares y al final es un repaso de lo mismo hoja tras hoja. Ni una explicación de nada (que no hubiera venido mal, por cierto)
