Nothing Fancy
I got Blank American Maps for my 8th grader to help him master the 50 states and their capitals, and it’s been a game-changer. The book’s simple layout—tons of clear, blank U.S. maps—gave him plenty of space to practice labeling over and over. At first, he struggled to place states like Nebraska or distinguish between the Dakotas, but after a few rounds, he was nailing them without hesitation. The repetition really locked in the geography for him, and he even started quizzing me!
