No, it's stainless steel with a gold finish. Real gold would cost thousands more. This is a fun cheap watch. The finish will last a few years if you're careful. It will eventually wear off. Being automatic you won't spend money on batteries.

I bought this watch as an accessory to a dinner outfit that I was wearing for a special occasion. It got lots of attention, and people always wanted to look at it a little longer or had asked me to take it off so they could check it out. I love this watch, it’s fantastic. You do have to wind it though. But hey…, that’s how it used to be.

Several do not work.

I have paid for 4 of these automatic (self-winding) watches. Due to poor quality control, none of these work, and need to be hand wound. What is the point? The winding pendulum should move freely. It doesn't in any. 4 refunds requested.
